1951 Ford F2 Pickup #matching recently restored
Description
For sale is a 1951 Ford F2 pickup truck with a long bed. The truck was restored top to bottom a few years back and is in great shape!
The frame, floors and cab of the truck are solid and virtually rust free. During this time the cab was also restored with a new interior.
The truck was just finished with a custom wood bed that is really beautiful. All of the woodwork on the bed and side wooden rails is brand-new and has been stained and coated with polyurethane to make it waterproof and very durable. This truck is definitely an eye catcher & head turner but it's not perfect. The paint is relatively new but does retain some scratches and scrapes. I have posted quite a few pictures but if you need anything extra, I will certainly do my best to get you any close-ups.
The truck retains its original motor and was told by the previous owner he had rebuilt the 239ci flathead V8. The truck also has a Aion 3-speed manual transmission with a floor-mounted shifter. The rear end still retains the factory 4.88 rear end.
This truck was born with a 6 Volt system and all of the lights, switches and gauges work as they should. The truck is very solid and dry and does not leak any fluids.
The interior has been restored back to the original look with a grey cloth bench seat w/vinyl trim which is super comfortable and looks great. There is a new front bumper along with new chrome headlight rings and a hard to find front ford emblem.
The truck runs, drives, and shifts normally and runs just as you would expect a 70-year-old pickup truck to operate. I have a clear Illinois title with no liens. As with antique vehicles over 25 yrs the mileage is exempt.
Any questions or for more information, please text or call 773-701-2771. I am certainly glad to help the buyer arrange the transportation for the vehicle after the auction. I have the right to end the auction at any given time, as the car is also for sale locally.
Overall this is a really nice ready to go 1951 Ford pickup truck. I welcome and recommend anyone interested to come and see the truck in person. I want the new buyer to be excited and proud of their new truck.
