Description

Up for sale is a Really Nice Vintage Coach Black 1976 Ford Mustang Cobra II with a 302 Engine. This car was purchased in 2013 by my Son and I as a project car. It has been stripped down to bare metal prior to restoration to its current condition. This car was completely Rust-Free prior to restoration, and has spent most of it's life in Phoenix, AZ where it was originally purchased.

NOTE: ALL ORIGIONAL Books, and sales ticket items, including all Maintenance records and restoration documents are included with this car. (See Photos)

This car has all original sheet metal, motor, transmission, trim, interior panels, body molding, bumpers, and accessories, with the following exceptions:

·The Rear Spoiler was replaced with a factory molded replacement and painted.

·The Wheels have been upgraded to 15" Chrome Mags with New Raised White Letter Cooper Tires, but the original wheels will come with the car.

·The Carpeting and Seat Covers have been completely replaced using Factory Original NOS stock including the carpeted trunk mat in back. Dynamat Heat Shield and Sound Proofing was installed prior to installing the new carpeting.

·The original A/C Condenser was removed from the car prior to our ownership but we are including a New Factory Replacement A/C unit which will come with the car.

·The original gauge cluster plastic behind the dashboard was crumbling apart as it was dismantled and will need to be replaced. We are including Brand New Auto Meter Gauges that still need to be installed, with the sale of this car. There is also a Brand New Factory aluminum dash board kit included with the car to be installed after the Gauges are installed.

·The included paperwork shows the Original Engine was overhauled in 1988 with just over 88,000 miles on it. I also had the Transmission Professionally Rebuilt in the summer of 2016. Additional Engine components were taken out, stripped clean, painted, and reinstalled. The Carburetor was replaced with a rebuilt one in 2014. The car showed that it had 45,216 miles on it when I began my restoration back in 2013.

·The factory radio was replaced with a poor substitute that I have yet to replace.

·The Muffler was taken off of the tailpipe and still needs to be put back on. The Catalytic Convertor is fully functional and is still on the tailpipe.

All electrical bulbs and sockets were replaced using Factory NOS parts including; Front Turn Signal Covers & Lights, Rear Brake & Driving lights, Backup Lights, and side panel lights. All of the electrical system is in good working order andeverything appears to be operational.

All seat belts have been replaced with Factory NOS parts as well. I have purchased a Black Factory NOS cloth for the headliner which still needs to be Professionally installed, ( The roof brackets are included with the headliner.) Door panels have been painted and installed using new Factory NOS Door Clips. There is a new Spider Steering Wheel that needs to be installed, and is included with the car.

Car was in running condition until yesterday 11/12/2018 when I pulled it out of the Garage to take Photos for the Auction. After I photographed everything I tried to start it up and it appears that the safety/neutral switch went out. I did purchase the switch but have not yet put it in. It turns over but will not start.

My son has enlisted in the US Air Force and is planning to travel Overseas for his tour of Duty. I am also transitioning into Retirement and will be unable to take the car with me when I move. As such he wants to sell the car to someone that is willing to complete the Restoration and will enjoy it as much as he has. We have just over 16K Dollars in Restoration costs and must find her a new home.

Please see Photos for Current Condition of the Cobra II.

I accept Paypal, Cash, Check, Money Order, or Bank Wire Transfer; However, Payment must clear the Bank before the car is released. Payment must be made within 7 days of auction's end.

Thanks for looking, God Bless!
