It does have a NOS system set up with jets for a 150 shot but was never used on this engine. I had it and put it on for looks. The car is quick enough.
Transmission is a 4 speed top loader that was rebuilt 2,600 miles ago. There was no problem with it but wanted it like new before installing. A center force dual friction clutch was also installed and has the Hurst shifter.
Rear is a Ford posi 9” with 373 gears
Factory rear brakes with Kelsey Hayes front disc brakes and Ford Motorsport pressure regulator.
Shelby fiberglass hood, side windows and side-scoops. Rear fiberglass deck lid and quarter panel extensions.
Front end was a Shelby type R front end. Custom made billet grills. Custom made one piece grill surround.
All DuPont products were used when vehicle was prepped and painted in 2001. The color is Dodge Viper red with Toyota super white Le Mans stripes. (Yes I know interesting choices).
1/4 panels, wheel houses, floor pans and rear trunk metal was all replaced. No rust anywhere.
Gauges are auto meter Autolites with Shelby type R gauge pod.
All wiring was redone with a painless harness and blade style fuses.
Front tie rods, and steering gear box was replaced and billet lemans steering wheel was installed.
Frame was stiffened up with subframe connectors and it was molded in and painted with new floor pans.
South side machine traction bars make the car hook up really well considering size of the tires.
I absolutely love the car. But in the last 20 years I have only put about 2,600 miles on it.
Only thing the car needs is vent window gaskets that I will include. I just did not have the time to install them.
