Rare 302 Cubic Inch Electronic Port Fuel Injected V8 Engine w/ Traction-Lok Axle
Description
I'm looking for a new home for my baby. My baby and I grew up together. We've done everything together. We've traveled from the Northeast Corridor to Key West and had many wonderful experiences. We've also shared life's tragedies. I love my baby and I'm hoping that someone else will love my baby as much as I do.
My baby is a 1986 Ford Thunderbird with the rare combination of 302 cubic inch (5 liter) electronic port fuel injected V8 engine and Traction-Lok Axle. My baby has the beautiful Regatta Blue Metallic Clearcoat paint with matching Regatta Blue cloth seats and factory carpeted floor mats front and rear. My baby sports the electronic LCD speedometer, odometer and trip odometer that's switchable between miles and kilometers, automatic overdrive transmission, interval windshield wipers, electronic digital clock, tilt steering wheel, fingertip speed control, electric rear window defroster, complete tinted glass, air conditioning, the premium sound system with electronic AM/FM stereo radio with search and cassette tape player, dual electric remote control mirrors, power windows, illuminated driver and passenger visor vanity mirrors, wide bodyside moldings, cast aluminum wheels, dual accent paint stripes and light group with dual beam map light, passenger compartment courtesy lights and engine compartment and trunk lights.
My baby has a current state inspection sticker, starts instantly, runs great and was my daily driver until recently. I've always taken care of my baby. My baby was never "hot rodded." The photographs provided are the raw, unaltered images from my camera.
I am providing FULL PROVENANCE for my baby, including the Annual Auto Issue of Consumer Reports for April 1986 that I used to pick out my baby and the Consumer Reports Car Pricing Service printout that lists all available options with dealer cost and retail cost that I used to make my baby special.
Included with my baby is the original 1986 Ford Thunderbird Owner Guide, 1986 Ford Thunderbird Operating Guide, Ford Electronic Sound System Operating Guide, 1986 Ford Warranty Information document, Ford Owner Warranty Identification Card, 1986 Ford Maintenance Schedule and Record Log, 1986 Ford Thunderbird Literature Order Form and Engine Drive Belt Installation sticker. The bound volumes have no pages loose or missing and included are the original Thunderbird paper envelope and Ford plastic protective sleeve. Also included is the original Firestone Tire Maintenance and Warranty Manual as well as my lifetime Sears RoadHandler Alignment Agreement.
The person providing my baby with a new home will get the factory Ford Audio Systems Demonstration Tape and Ford First Pre-Recorded Cassette Specially Designed For Your Car Stereo, which demonstrate the advanced capabilities of the state of the art mobile sound system in 1986.
Included is the Ford document used at the assembly plant which provides factory codes for every production variable installed and tested, from powertrain to suspension to interior and exterior trim!
Also included are two complete sets of Ford keys for my baby with two metal tags featuring individual registration numbers that document the key codes for the ignition and trunk keys, as well as the envelope and card that provides the identification numbers for the locking lug nuts.
I am including a "Quality is Job 1" letter from Ford, as well as the only technical service bulletin and recall notice ever sent to me.
I am also providing the original dealer invoice for my baby from Grady Whitlock Ford, the original Salesman's Bill-Out and Sales Agreement dated June 17, 1986, the original Ford Motor Credit Company finance contract with the original letter from Ford notifying me that my account was paid in full and, of course, the title.
My baby always gets ethanol-free gas and has always been protected by the combination Spare Key Locking Gas Cap, which is included with original instructions. My baby has always had either Pennzoil or Valvoline motor oil over the years. Every component my baby has ever needed has always been replaced with the highest quality part available, even if it had to be specially ordered.
It is my fondest desire to find a good home for my baby with someone who will love my baby as much as I do.
