I have the original 1970 factory Ford invoice for this Mustang. I also have the Marti report, and statistical Marti report.Rotisserie Restoration. Special ordered by Ralph E Rokenfield INC. The car was delivered on April 8th 1970. This was a specialorderedfactory road race/muscle car. 1 of 1 verified by the Marti report as well as by several Mustang experts. The statistical Marti report shows that this car is 1 of 1 just off of the motor, transmission, exterior, interior, and rear axle options alone. The statistical Marti report did not take the following factory options into account;quick ratio steering, power front disc brakes, competition suspension, color keyed racing mirrors. This car was ordered with more options than a Mach 1, 1969 Shelby, or 1970 boss 302, yet is a base modelMustang, a sleeper if you will. The car was set up from the factory for handling and performance. The original owner ordered this car to out perform the legendary 1970 Boss 302. This is the only one in the world ordered with these options as verified by the Marti Report, original Ford invoice, and statistical Marti Report. The extensive rotisserie restoration took over 10 years to complete.Over 200 pages of receipts, documentation are included as well as over 100 pictures of the restoration digitally saved on a CD. Approx. 1,000 miles have been put on the car since its restoration. Excellent driving and handling car. This car handles like it on rails, and is extremely fast.
MOTOR-This mustang was factory ordered with the rare 351 Cleveland 4-V engine.Built original 351 Cleveland (450-475 horse power). All machine work was performed by pro race shop Mad Cap Racing in Lakewood Colorado. Mad Cap Racing mainly does race motors for professional high end drag/race cars such as V Gaines Kendal (pro stock). On rare occasions they have built street motors. Engine assembly was done by well known engine builder Widman Speed & Custom in Thornton Colorado. All the best internals were used (pistons, rods, bearings, bolts, fasteners, crank, ect). The original 351 Cleveland big valve heads were ported and polished. Roller rockers, Holley 750 carb, Edelbrock Performer intake, MSD electronic ignition, MSD coil, 3 inch Hooker headers, dual exhaust, Flowmaster mufflers, Mallory 11,000 RPM racing tachometer, billet 3 groove pulley/bracket set by March pulleys, chrome export brace (strut tower brace), Aluminum engine dress up kit, high flow oil pump, chrome oil pan, flex fan, heavy duty battery, battery cables, voltage regulator, polished aluminum 100 amp alternator, K&N air filter, Taylor pro cut plug wires. The factory radiator was re-cored and updated to high performance applications. The motor was updated with custom oil lines for extra lubrication on back mains 7/8 as 351 C's are known for not getting enough oil to the rear main bearings. This is a trick used by many old school Ford race motor builders.Comp X-Treme energy cam.Exhaust- 310 lift/224 duration. Intake .298 lift/218 duration.Motor was professionally jetted and tuned for maximum performance and efficiency.
TRANSMISSION-This Mustang was factory ordered with a close ratio manual 4 speed transmission. Some upgrades include; Blow proof bell housing, drive shaft loop, heavy duty drive shaft/u-joints, Hurst shifter & linkage, Modern Drive hydraulic clutch pressure plate, throw out bearing, fly wheel, stainless steel braided hydraulic clutch lines. The original numbers matching close ratio four speed was rebuilt at the time of restoration
REAR AXLE-This Mustang was factory ordered with the Ford 9 inch axle and 3.25 Traction Lok differential. The 3.25 gear ratio is the perfect gear ratio as it gives you great off the line performance as well as ideal highway gearing. This is a great all around gear ratio. Original numbers matching rear axle.
INTERIOR- The front and rear seat upholstery was professionally reupholstered with reproduction covers. A high quality seat padding was installed front and rear (the front seats are very comfortable). All electrical works perfectly as well as all gauges. Over $700 in Dyna Mat was installed inside the entire cabin of the car. Upgraded shoulder harness seat belts, Viper alarm, Kenwood CD player Sony speakers (the stereo sounds awesome). Fold down rear seat. Perfect dash with no cracks. New headliner, door panels, carpet, misc. interior fasteners and trim.
PAINT/BODY-This car was unfortunatelyrepainted its non original color of Vermillion Red ( factory 1970 Mustang color). The original color was white (Ford code M 1619-A).The car body, under side, under carriage, and sub frame was completely stripped down to a bare shell and bare metal. All windows, trim, body panels, interior, etc. were removed. The body was then separated from sub frame. The body, sub frame and underside of the car was then sand completely media blasted and repainted. Because the car had been garaged a majority of its life in the dry climate of Colorado, very minimal rust repair was needed. All rust was removed and replaced with metal. The car received a show quality (window out) paint job. The door jambs, engine bay, under hood, and trunk area were all repainted and received the same attention to detail as the exterior of the car. The paint was then color sanded and polished to a show quality finish. All new door, window, window felt, and body rubber seals were used during the reassembly. The paint and body work was executed by a professional body shop. A new front windshield was installed. The rest of the glass is original and was installed using all new window rubber. New front and rear bumpers. The door and body lines are perfect. the doors shut like bank vault doors. The undercarriage is spotless and highly detailed as seen in the pictures. The Mustang has not seen rain since its restoration and is only driven on nice days. Original keys fits all locks.
BRAKES/SUSPENSION-This Mustang was factory ordered with competition suspension option, quick ratio steering, & power disc brakes. The factory quick ratio steering was updated with a Borgeson power steering pump/system. Edelbrock racing shocks were installed front and rear. Rear pan hard bar, front and rear sway bars, sub frame connectors. New brake lines front and rear, rear drums, shoes, wheel cylinders, rear brake hardware kit, brake master cylinder, rebuilt power brake booster, stainless steel braided brake lines. Rebuilt front brake calipers, turned front rotors,
