1925 Ford Model TT Grain Truck Original Condition Survivor 93 Years Old
Description
This is a 1925 Ford Model TT Grain Truck. The history I was provided on the truck is that it was bought by a family in Iowa and used on the farm. There are a few license plates on the cab that date back to 1930 that I would believe have been on there since then due to the paint looking fresh underneath them. The story I got from the gentleman I bought it from was that a guy purchased the truck in 2008 from the original family and pulled it out of their barn. When he bought it, it was said to have still had some beans in the bed. The guy I bought the truck from bought the truck from that person, and then I purchased it from him.
As you can see the truck is in very good shape for being in original condition. The truck looks to have been originally green, with some of the paint fading off over the last 100 years. Since I have had this truck I have began looking at a lot of other Model TT trucks and have never found any others that retain the originality mine has while also maintaining such incredible condition for its age. If you zoom in on the pictures you can still see the pinstriping on the doors of the cab and you can very faintly still see lettering from the original cabin maker, which was Spaulding Manufacturing in Grinnell Iowa, however I am unable to read it.
The truck starts on battery power but you can also crank it to start it if you would like. Runs and drives and stops well. Has the original 4 cylinder engine. Has a 2 speed rear end. All 4 tires hold air. The lights work like they should. Also, if you are coming to pick it up yourself and would like a lesson on how to drive it, I would be more than happy to show you.
If you would like to ask me anymore questions about the truck, please feel free to send me a message, or if you would like to speak on the phone just leave a message with your phone number and a good time to call you back and I will be sure to do so. I do have clear registration in my name that has the matching engine numbers on it. If you are interested in shipping I will assist you in anyway I can, but it is up to the buyer to arrange shipping. Keep in mind that the truck is 7 feet tall and 15 feet 16 inches long and almost 100 years old, so that will need to be taken into consideration for transport. Please do not message me asking what the reserve is or what it would cost to buy it outright, as that is not fair to other bidders or myself. If it does not sell at auction, I will entertain offers at that point. I will require a deposit via Paypal of $1000 from the winning bidder and the remainder of the payment upon pickup, unless prior arrangements have been made. Must be picked up within 2 weeks, again, unless prior arrangements have been made.
I hope whoever purchases this truck intends to keep it original and possibly put it on display for others to enjoy. I drive it to a few local shows in the summer and it always commands a ton of attention. A lot of people enjoy looking at it and standing in front of it for pictures. I would be thrilled if the buyer intends to put it in a museum or on display for their business.
