Description

It's been skillfully configured in the image of its legendary upper crust Mustang relative, the Shelby, and it looks awesome! This 1965 Ford Mustang GT350 Tribute wears a magnetic exterior shade that just compels you to stare at it and it combines outstanding curb appeal with a fully restored interior and some welcome features that make for awesome drivability. Even in the most well-heeled of classic car company, this Mustang will stand out. Its Ford Verizon...Blue metallic paint is electric - it's got a great shine to it and its smooth texture indicates that a lot of prep went in before the first pull on the trigger of the paint gun. Properly positioned Shelby stripes run just above its rocker panels that, like the additional pair gracing the hood, roof and deck lid, sit underneath the clearcoat for a smooth, even glow. The side scoops just behind the doors are perfectly sculpted to mirror the originals and as you circle the car, you'll notice that its exterior alignment looks very precise. The details that give a classic like this one its finished appearance have all been looked after - both the front and rear bumpers, as well as the window trim and side mirrors are in showroom condition and the signature running horse on the front grille looks as good or better than any emerging from the assembly line back in the day. The interior has been completely restored and provides an inspiring vintage driving environment. The black vinyl upholstery all looks fresh and well-cared for, with front buckets that likely haven't seen much use and a rear seat in the same condition that folds down without incident. Fresh black carpeting lines the floor, punctuated in front by a pair of Shelby-branded floormats. The dash area is in great form and sports a couple of aftermarket add-ons that blend nicely with the factory components, including a Bosch tachometer mounted on the steering column just beyond the woodgrain LeCarra-style Shelby steering wheel and a trio of aftermarket gauges positioned just below the dash. The gauges in the instrument cluster all appear to have been recently added and are surrounded by shiny new bezels. No less than five well-placed underdash vents bring the cooled or warmed air provided by the added climate control system into the cabin to keep everyone comfortable. In back, the trunk area is very nicely finished, with Shelby branded carpeting lining its floor and walls. Raise the hood and you'll be greeted by a very well-detailed engine compartment. Not only is it unusually clean, but it also sports a chrome dress up kit that equips its shock tower braces, alternator and power steering pulley with a chrome finish that really looks nice as they blend with the aluminum radiator and billet overflow tank. At the center is a 289 cubic inch V8 armed with an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold and 4-barrel carb to maximize its power, as well as a set of aftermarket headers that lead into a Flowmaster exhaust with chrome tailpipes in back that exit through the valance for an exceptional appearance. Both the engine, as well as the 4-speed manual transmission just behind it, have logged only light usage since their rebuild a few years back, so they're at the top of their game. Power steering and front disc brakes make this sharp-looking Mustang easy to navigate as it cruises on its set of show-stopping Ridler 650 wheels. An absolute delight to look at and a definite blast to drive, this 1965 Ford Mustang GT350 Tribute is going to make some discerning enthusiast very happy. Call today!
