The GT500 Eleanor them was created for the movie Gone in 60 Seconds by Steve Stanford on blue prints, and then hands on built by Foose in 1999 to prepare an awesome recreation of a modern looking 67 Shelby for a movie (Gone in 60 Seconds). Therefore all Eleanor cars occurred after the year 2000. there are different registry's as well. the Shelby registry that has the list of the 65-70 shelbys (the originals) and the continuation series over the years. Also, there is the Eleanor world registry or EWR, which lists the correct platform Eleanor builds. This car did not start life as a shelby, or a dynacorn chasis, it is a real deal standard mustang with a Ford mustang VIN as shown in the pictures.. it has had a complete restoration and has been restored into the Shelby Eleanor appearance that it has today. It was not born an Eleanor car from 1968 because as I just explained, there are no original born eleanor cars from 1967 or 1968.. So by VIN, it is a standard 68 Mustang, and after a complete restore and build out, it is now in the Eleanor registry which is recognized as the certifying organization which qualifies or authenticates Eleanor builds. it requires Eleanor cars to be built with correct parts and body panels as to the same as the Eleanor movie cars, upon completion, it is eligible for entry, if accepted it is assigned a series as the sequential number of entry.. therefore is is eligible to be titled as a Shelby GT500E on the certificate of ownership. I am a private collector of classic Mustangs. I do not know everything there is to know about these cars, but i have owned many of them over the past 25 years. I will answer any questions you have individually. all you have to do is call. If I don't answer, leave a message, I will call you back.
