This old truck is cool. It was purchased from an estate sale back in 2013. That same year the 360 cu in engine and C6 automatic transmission were completely rebuilt. As was the master cylinder and carburetor. Additionally the U-joints, shocks, hoses & fluids, windshield and tires were all replaced with new as well. The truck had been sitting a long time and needed some TLC! Since then it has been driven very little, BUT regularly enough for all the mechanical to remain in dependable working condition.
ORIGINAL PAINT - NO RUST ANYWHERE! Super impressive AND so hard to find these days. The entire truck is original paint and there is no rust/rot anywhere in the body OR undercarriage. The inside of the bed is even in exceptional condition - this truck has been babied its whole life.
The interior is just as clean and original. All original: carpet, seat, dash, door panels and headliner. AND all in really nice shape!
Everything works EXCEPT for the A/C.It is the XLT Camper Special model so it was loaded with luxury back in it's day.
Starts right up and runs great. Drives down the road smoothly without wandering.Shifts strong and brakes are solid.
