Description

1970 Mustang Mach 1, VIN: 0T05M157308, original 351 cleveland 4 barrel, 4 speed, Calypso Coral car. Verification with the Marti Report. Window sticker, and build sheet.

The car came from the factory with the following equipment:

351 Cleveland 4 barrel engine.

3.25 Traction-Lok rear end.

4 speed wide ratio top loader transmission.

Rear deck spoiler.

AM radio.

Quick ratio steering.

Tachometer.

The following options were added by previous owners:

Rear window louvers.

Front spoiler.

15 Inch Magnum 500 wheels.

Power Steering

Shaker Hood Scoop.

The car spent most of its life in the Philadelphia area. It is believed to be a three owner car. It had some restorative work done in the late 80’s and again this past summer. The driver side quarter was replaced in the 80’s. It was done well. The car maintains the rest of its original sheet metal which was freshly painted in the summer of 2018. The paint is very nice.

The odometer reads 105,000, the Pa. title shows mileage exempt. The engine block has a D2 part number which is believed to be a cj motor. It has 4 barrel head, aluminun intake manifold, Holley carb. electronic distributor, and stock exhaust manifolds. The 4 speed appears correct and has the lower boot, reverse light wiring and switch, and the reverse lock out rod. The rear differential is an N case with 28 spline axels, believed to be 3.25 gears, and posi traction. The car retains its original drum brakes that work as they should. The tires are brand new.

The cars front suspension was completely rebuilt with OEM equipment when it was painnted. The engine sounds like it has mildly aggressive cam in it. The engine is strong and smooth. The transmission shifs as it should. The car runs, drives, and stops very well. The interior is mostly original and presentable. The headliner is splitting at the seams. ( a new one is included)

the front seats are showing some wear but are not torn (new covers are included) the back seat and door panels are nice and the dash is nice.

The car does not need anything to be enjoyed. The lights work, the horn works, the speedo and tach work. All the gauges except the clock work. The floors are all original with rock solid torque boxes and frame rails. The drivers floor pan has a soft spot but no major holes.

There are a few issues that that make the car imperfect:

The clock and radio do not work.

The headliner could be repaired or replaced.

The front seats could be recovered.

The center console needs some repair.

The drivers side floor pan has a small soft spot.

Parts included with the sale:

Original rust free hood.

Original air cleaner.

Original valve covers.

New front seat covers.

New head liner.

New brake linings and wheel cylinders.

In summary this is an extremely nice looking and driving car that can be enjoyed while you do some work on it or you could just enjoy it and leave it alone. Please ask questions prior to auction end.
