ORIGINAL FLATHEAD V8, MINIMAL RUST, NEW GLASS, GREAT SHOP TRUCK OR DRIVING PROJECT! I wish I would have let her warm up more in the video (by the time I got back to the shop she was purring). This is a fun truck that runs strong and cruises around town. Take a look at the pictures, details, and video inspection below, then call Erick at 678-908-6006.
Cosmetic
  • Paint/Body: Really a pretty straight body overall and just a few rust spots in the usual places, cab corners, step sides, and a couple small spots on the bottom of the doors. Paint is newer satin black. Great shop truck look.
  • Interior: Nice uncut dash with original gauges, not hooked up. Original seat is torn up and needs to be reupholstered. New carpet. Gas tank removed and put under the rear of bed.
  • Glass/Windows: All of the glass and weatherstripping is new except for the vent windows. Windows roll up and down easily.
  • Trunk: Plywood bed looks good, fuel filler neck in the rear.
  • Undercarriage: Solid and rust free frame rails. Original uncut floor pans are solid with only one spot of rust holes. Inner cab corners are rusted out. Fender wells are all pretty much rust free.
  • Wheels/Tires: Brand new tires on steel wheels.
Mechanical
  • Drivetrain: 239 V8 starts right up but is very cold natured (was 38deg when I filmed this video). Once she is warmed up she runs strong. The shifter is a little sticky and needs to be lubed, but she drives through all the the gears with power. This truck steers very straight and does not wander.
  • Lights/Electrical: Headlights, tail lights, and brake lights all work. Will install new brake switch next Monday as the lights stuck on through the video.
  • Brakes: Brakes stop straight.
This is an great truck to drive as is and do simple projects on the weekends to make it your own. Watch the video then call Erick at 678-908-6006.
