Description

First off I would like to apologize for having to take these pictures at dark. Then my battery on my camera died so I didn’t get to take pictures of the roof, cab mounts, engine bay, or floor of bed.

There is no rust in any of these places and the inside of bed is in very good shape. This truck is unrestored. However, from receipts I believe the truck was painted in the mid 80’s by the second owner. It was originally pastel green.

  • IF YOU’RE WANTING A REALLY NICE TRUCK FOR A DAILY DRIVER OR TO BUILD A TRAILER QUEEN, THIS IS THE TRUCK.

  • This truck is all original NO aftermarket body panels, all original US steel all American made truck (except aftermarket gauges)!!

  • The Vin F26 shows this is an original 4 wheel drive from factory.

The way it drives, the way the doors open and close, it really gives you a feeling of going back in time. I have a folder full of receipts starting from where it was purchased by the second owner in sweet home Oregon on 26 April 1985. The truck had 21,956 miles and was sold for $2,515.80. On 1 August 1985 the second owner did a 390 conversion. From all the RV receipts he probably used it to pull a camper. At 8:46 am on 14 April 1994 this truck passed emissions in Susanville California. On this date the truck had 45,102 miles. I have no idea what the miles are now. When I purchased the truck in Arizona, it still had a California title and California plates.

*The engine has weak compression and a rattle and will need to be rebuilt. From my receipts I can see where they installed bronze valve guides and special valves when they did the 390 conversion so rebuild should be relatively inexpensive.

*I have a built 390 in my inventory. It's a mirror 501 block (heavy duty) with aluminum intake, new headers, good heads that I can install in this truck for an additional fee after purchase. THIS MOTOR IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE SALE OF THIS VEHICLE OR THE PRICE OF THIS VEHICLE.

This vehicle is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction if there are no bids at that time.
