Description

The Eleanor Mustangs are modeled after the famous “Eleanor” in the movie “Gone In 60 Seconds”.This 1968 Ford Mustang has undergone a total frame-of, ground-up restoration. The Dupont Pepper gray paint with black metallic stripes is the same paint that was used on the car in the movie. The body rests on a 2x3 tube steel chassis all welded with gusset plates. Unlike the car in the movi, this Eleanor was built around a big-block 588 CID Roush Racing V8 engine. The engine design is based on the A460 4-bolt main with Super Cobra Jet Heads. A Tremec TKO 600 five speed manual transmission accepts the massive torque (690 ft-Ibf) produced by the engine. The rear-end is a Fab 9 housing fitted with a Mosher 3.25 positive traction 3rd member. Strange 31 spline axles send the horsepower to the Eleanor style wheels that are fitted with new Goodyear rubber. The car is protected with a Viper security system. Procar rally seats provide plenty of comfort while driving. The dash is fitted with JME white faced electric instruments. The Shelby style center console contains extra gauges including a back-up camera. Music is provided by Alpine. The stero is matched to massive speakers with amplifiers hidden in the trunk. Flowmaster Delta 40 mufflers with teardrop exhaust tips provide the sweetest music of all.
The car is absolutely beautiful.
