Description

I bought this pickup a few years ago in Nevada partly for fun and partly for maintenance work at a couple of rental houses. It was an older restoration when I bought it, and I’ve continued to improve it each year. The previous owner trailered it to car shows, but I bought it to use it. I only drive it in the summer months and keep it in anenclosed garage/workshop. I neverdrive it in the rain or snow. Most of the few hundred or so milesI’ve put on it per year have been to haul stuff to the dump or carry tools and supplies to rental house projects. It is in remarkably good condition considering its age. I patched therust in the cab floor, treated it with POR-15 and painted it. The 6.50 x 16 Coker tires have less than 1000 miles on them as does the rebuilt transmission. I have replaced thewater pumps, motor mounts, brake lines, hoses and cylinders, front brake shoes, drums and wheel bearings.I also rebuilt the carburetor. The truck has seat belts and turn signals.I replaced much of the wiring as well as the tail-lights and front parking lights when I installed the turn signals. I replaced the instrument panel and swapped in NOS gauges, but the fuel gauge apparently needs a new sender. I’ve repaired or replaced many other parts too numerous to list. The wood floor in the bed should be replaced, however. There are some minor cracks in the bottom front corner of the driver’s door window, but otherwise the glass is excellent. The vertical line across the passenger window in one photo is apparently a reflection as is the funny coloring in the driver’s door in another photo. The truck is not concours perfect, but it is a good running old truck. We’ve sold our rental houses and are downsizing. Advanced age and failing health makes it difficult for me to crawl underneath the truck now, and I can’t justify keeping it. I have a clear Washington State title. There is no warranty with the truck. It is for sale locally, and I reserve the right to cancel the bidding at any time. I require all inspections be completed before the end of the auction. This old Fordgets a lot of waves and smiles, but as much as I like driving it locally, I would not set off across country in a 75-year-old vehicle. The buyer is responsible for shipping from Bellingham WA 98225, but I will, of course, assist with loading. Happy bidding!
