Description

Nice Torino GT

This is a really nice survivor, been resting since 2009

35+ year old paint job-- On first impression it looks nice but a closer look reveals lots of touch up paint and paint blisters from a over zealous buffer by a prior owner. It really needs a third paint job.

Mostly origina, some of the extras include a security system, Petronix ignition and coil.

Ready for summer!

Recent maintainence includes; Fuel tank drained, Cooling System flushed and filled with 2 gallons of Prestone and topped off with Distilled Water. The radiator is spotlless inside. New Hoses, New belts, New Front Shock, New Mastercylinder, New Brakebooster,New calipers and Brake Hoses. Energy Suspension Swaybar bushings and links, New plugs, fuel pump. Rebuilt Carb with mechanical secondaries. New Dual Thrush Mufflers, 90% tread left on tires.

All the guages work and so does the clock ! Dash lights up and dims --everything works. The headlights are OEM with FORD etched on all four--they are bright and clear.

The interior makes obvious the many years it was stored in the garage and shop, no fading, but bright and shiny vinyl . The headliner is beautiful, das, door panels and package tray very nice. The bench seat needs stitched in a few places and the driver door pull has come apart. Glass is all Ford Car-lite except the front windshield, it was replaced with Tinted PPG glass.Rear Glass was removed and resealed and then a smoke test was performed, it is good. The front windshield has never leaked,no rust! Windows roll up and downwith no issues--nice! Stored in the trunk is brand new window lacing, door rubbers, a rag joint for the steering, a new motor mount, original waterpump rebuilt in the box, original fuel pump in working order some touchup paint misc. parts and things that will come in handy for a full blown restoration.

Motor and trans are in top order and it runs really strong, engine is quiet with no tappet noise or exhaust leaks and doesnt burn oi, Throttle response is impressive. The transmission shifts strong, It might have a shift kit...IDK and it leaks if it sets too long but if it is driven it does not leak.9" Rearend !! This carhas a good heart and good bones.

Dependable driver that turns heads and starts conversations. The car runs the highway great and scoots around town good too..

For sale locally, I reserve the right stop this auction if sold elsewhere...and please, do not bid if you can not pay for it-- If you recconize this car from last year you would be correct..the winner of that auction had no business bidding- so here we are. This car should be worth north of $12k compared to recent bidding and sold cars. The reserve price is my ouch price. Good luck
