Description

This here is a 1929 Model A Tudor Sedan. The vehicle was totally dismantled, completely and professionally rebuilt. The motor and drivetrain was restored by Schmalm's in Strausburg, Pa. The body was disassembled and allrusted metal was replaced. The frame is much more solid than when it came off the line in 1929. The interior and wiring was totally refurbished and installed by Snyders Antique Auto in New Springfield, Ohio.

This vehicle can actually be driven on highways. Many safety and performance upgrades were installed during therestoration. The original motorblock was noted to be cracked and was replaced, acounterbalanced crankshaft, modernvalves, modern rearseal, new high compression cylinder head, placement of an oil filterand oil pressure gauge were all done. In addition an electrical ignition was placed and the electrical system upgraded to 12 volts. Also a serpentine fan belt and 6 blade fan was installed. Plus a Mitchell overdrive and ahydraulic brake systemwere added. Springs were replaced, steering column rebuilt and modern shocksinstalled. The gas tank was cleaned andrustproofed inside.

Seat belts, side mirror and turn signals were added as safety features. Theexhaust system wasupgraded to stainless steel. The paint scheme is Chelsea Blue and Bonnie Gray with yellow pin stripping. This was one of the paint options offered in 1929. Itis truly a beautiful and striking Model A. There is less than 10 miles on the rebuilt odometer.

The restoration occurredover a 7year period and was finished in May of 2016. The receipts that I have come to just under $113,000. UnfortunatelyI spent over 3 times what a top of the line Model A is currently valued. I findmyself not finding the time to enjoythis fine vehicle and rather than justletting itsit and slowly deteriorate againIam offering it up for sale.
