Up for bid is a 1984 Ford diesel 4X4. I have owned this truck since 1986. I purchased it from the first owner. It spent it's first 2 years in Wyoming. It has the dependable 6.9 engine.has been in the southern California desert ever since. Hence the only rust is light surface rust. Here is a list of the equipment that I have added:
Banks turbo, installed by Banks in approx. 19889,000 lb. Desert Dynamics winch with large spool and 3/8" cable w/ power shut off switch and wired remote and winch bumper with tow hooks and roller fairlead with surface rustGlasstite camper shell (needs new lifts) also boot not sealingTransfer Flow 105 gal. in bed aux. fuel tank with gauge and switching valveComplete limited slip rear end from 1983 F250 dieselDigital tachometerDigital engine temp. gaugeDigital inside/outside temp. gaugeFlexsteel front split cloth bucket seat set with center armrest seat comboDriver side step/mud guard (passenger side missing due to tire blowout which destroyed it)Front driving/fog lights (never wired)Home built frame attached trailer hitch HD, spare tire in bedFront "add a leaf" for levelingEngine run time hour meter (see below)5 almost new tires (spare different brand)Locking fuel doorsElectric fuel pump with aux fuel filter with water drain.Gun racks in rear of cabIt has an old school hydraulic brake controller for trailer brakesInjection pump fuel solenoid keyed shut-off switch for anti-theftTwo new batteries for your starting pleasureFirewall stiffening plate to stop flexing when pushing the clutchCustom dash cover (sun faded)Exhaust temperature gauge(came with turbo)HD rubber bed mat which reaches under aux. fuel tankExhaust system (single) installed by Banks
This is great running truck. It has the dependable 6.9 engine with a Banks turbo and a 4 sp. manual trans. It has factory skid plates under front fuel tank and transfer case. It is equipped with manual hubs. It has PS, PB, AC and after market cruise control (steering wheel sun damage caused me to replace), after market AM, FM cassett player (not the best, but works) The AC needs a re-charge and has been converted to R-134.It currently is on a CA. non-op registration, so no back fees for CA. I have a log of all the maintenance and parts that I have changed from approx 22,000 mi. to present. It has been driven very little in the last several years.
Here's the best part, it has less that 100,000 original miles on it. The gear on the inside of the trans. went out at around 90,000 miles. I added an hour meter to keep track of mileage (for oil change purposes), it now has only 82 hours on it. (approx. 4,000 mi.) I've been using an old but working GPS unit for a speedometer (included). About 5,000 mi. ago, I had the injection pump replaced with a rebuilt one. It uses very little if any oil. I never had to add between 3,000 mi. changes. I have not spent any time cleaning the truck!
The bad:The paint is in poor shape (Ford paint and sun), there is a lot of surface rust on the roof and elsewhere (but absolutely no perforation), also surface scratches. The speedo gear and steering wheel as mentioned above along with camper shell issues.$500. deposit required within 24 hours of auction close by Paypal. Balance due within 7 days.
