Purchased in Deland, Florida three (3) years ago and driven back to DC.
I was told that I am the second owner.
The previous owner did an amazing job rebuilding this 390 Big Block.
All original, except the oversized stainless steel radiator I installed for the Summer heat and traffic. The big block 390 performance engine was built for 1963 open roads and not 2019 traffic. I also have an electric fan for the radiator but have not installed it. I did not want to alter the wiring harness. There was no traffic in 1963 and the oversized radiator keeps the motor cooler in summer.
PLEASE NOTE: DRIVERS SIDE FRONT WINDOW NEEDS A NEW WINDOW MOTOR. - I AM LOCATING SOMEONE TO REBUILD THE WINDOW MOTOR AS NOT TO CHANGE ANYTHING.
This beautiful car still has the original bags under the hood, original stainless steel wheel covers, custom exhaust, and every piece of original trim that came on it. This car even has power seats whichrequire servicing, and spotlight rear view mirror which needs a bulb. The original top down cover and jack are included. Convertible top looks new. Power top works fine. Heater works. No air.
Built at the Oakville, Ontario Canada Plant
VIN tag is in the engine compartment - low - left sidefacing engine on firewall

She spends her Winters 50 feet underground at 50 degrees. (too long for my garage)
Zoning in Washington, DC will not allow me to enlarge my garage so She needs a new home.
When I purchased this car She had 49,747 original miles. That was about 4 years ago. It hasjust under53,000 original miles today. I've only driven a few thousand miles but all highway and what a rush.

I was surprised to see that the original AD which I answered was still on the internet.
This is it.

The previous ad read : You are looking at 1963 Ford Galaxie 500 Convertible. This one is sharp, previous owner stated it is a numbers matching car, has the original 390 v8 engine, he did a freshening up with new bearings, seals, fuel pump, new exhaust and more. Engine has around 7000 miles on it. Odometer is a 5 digit, we are unsure of actual mileage. It runs and drives great. The front was upgraded to disc brakes and power brakes. It has power windows, power top, power steering and more. It has the original radio but has a nicer newer cd player mounted below. The car is mainly original with the exception of one repaint. Interior is all original, top is only a couple years old and includes the boot. This car runs and drives even better then it looks. It is a fairly rust free and solid body. Does have a few minor paint issues but it is a 1963 and in excellent shape for the year.
I amstarting thisauction with the price which I paid for the car.$19,995.
