1965 Mustang Fastback 2+2 Restomod Project

Description

This is my 65 Mustang Fastback project that I have been working on for over 30 years.Connecticut does not title cars of this age,so it will be sold with a bill of sale.If this is a problem for you or your Motor vehicle dept, then do not bid on this car ! A lot of time and parts have gone into this project and I know I can never recover that expense. As the pictures show there has been a lot of work done on this car and there is still more to do. I drove it into the shop some 30+ years ago,and it has not been outside since. It was completely dismantled.The first thing was to replace the floors with all new panels.The trunk floors,rear body panel,and inner and outer wheelhouses were all replaced with NOS pieces.Also both Quarter panels were replaced with full NOS quarters.Both doors had solid shells but were damaged so they had the skins replaced.The front fenders are good used panels.The hood needs to be replaced as it is rusty.If you use Buy it Now, I will include NOS fender, Hood,bumpers, Valances,Weatherstrips,sillplates,emblems and much more that I have collected for the car. The engine and AOD trans is from a running 1989 5.0 Mustang GT.The rear end is a rebuilt 8" posi w/disc brakes.The rear springs are Magna Series mid eye to lower the vehicle about an inch with heavy duty shackles.There is also a used BeCool aluminum raduiator included.There are also Traction Master rear sway bar and traction bars installed.The frame rails are tied together with subframe connectors.The front frame and suspension have been modified with a Rod and Custom coil over suspension,with power rac, sway bar and disc brakes.When the crossmember was welded i, it was set up on a frame machine w/ a measuring system to insure everything was square.With the exception of the hood, there is absoluetly not a speck of rust on this vehicle.To get this up and running,it will need to be wired and fuel and brake lines installed and exhaust system completed from the midpipe back.The original interior is pretty much complete and in good shape except for door panels and carpeting missing.I have dash gauges with a new harness that I will include.The door glass and vent windows have nice chrome and are included.Front and rear glass are original and mouldings are included.Tailight Chrome and door handles are originals that have been rechromed.The car can be inspected by appointment during normal business hours.The car does roll, I have the dollies under it for convenience, but they are not included.There are also some visegrips shown in the pics that are not included.The NOS parts that are not on the car are not included unless you use BUY IT NOW.If you have any concerns message me through ebay.Don't assume anything ask questions to be sure.
