Description

I had a goal of building a coupe that weighed under 2000 pounds and is powered by a 8ba Flat Head. The frame was laser cut out of 6061 aluminum and tig welded. I also used steel in locations to gusset the spring attachment locations, I used this for the rear control arms. The engine was built to handle a supercharger and has all new parts. I purchased aftermarket main caps and had them line bored. The block was gone through and NO cracks were found. All parts are new in the motor. I used a Stroker Kit 304 cui. I purchased the 314 Lift Cam from a salt flat racer. Also installed a remote oil filter. I used a new aluminum flywheel and clutch. The front and rear springs are composite. The rear end is a quick change CAE with Ford 9" axle tubes, Ford pattern. It has a full spool in the differential. It has a 5 gallon custom stainless tank. I used titanium hardware in different location of build. Custom stainless headers.
I've built this car twice over the years. I raced it at the Texas Mile and went over 150 mph with a blown BBC. Aside from the louvers and roof insert made by Jimmy Shine, I build the entire car myself.
I've driven the coupe to work a few times over the last two years. I'm 5'8" and around 200 lbs. I am able to drive tight, but comfortably. I have not taken this car to any shows or events. I enjoy it but its time to move on.
