Description

Please read entire tedious listing so there are no misunderstandings and ask questions if needed. This is a 1936 all steel Ford 1/2 ton pickup body mounted on a 1989 Ford Ranger 2WD chassis. It is titled as a 1936 Ford P/U. The truck has a 2.3 liter EFI engine, auto trans with overdrive, power steering, power brakes, and a heater. Here's a list of what works. Headlights, blinkers, flashers, horn, heater, gas gage, temp gage, and fuel gage. Here's what doesn't work. Overdrive cable is not hooked up so it is a three speed with no working overdrive, there are no windshield wipers, the windows crank up and down with the help of pulling on them as you crank. The gas gage reads full when empty and empty when full but it works. The horn button is on the dash not in the steering wheel. It has a sliding rear window. The power steering pump flings an amount of fluid on the fender over a certain period of time. Antifreeze seeps from various fittings after it is parked when warm. I say warm because it never gets hot. As you see in the pictures the driver side cover for the hood is not mounted on the truck. The brake booster and steering pump are sticking out too far. I have the cover for the hood. The are no rubber seals around the doors and windows. I have them new in packages. There is no glovebox or dash pad or headliner, etc. You will need to make your own interior. All the chrome is plastic chrome molding not metal. The seats are comfortable and have seat belts. It has a B&M shifter that has four positions, park, reverse, neutral, and all the way down in #1 is drive. The tires are at least ten years old, the brakes haven't been looked at in years, the alignment is surely off. The exhaust was put on 9 years ago as well as a new timing belt and fuel pump. The shift cable was replaced 2 years ago and a new battery last year. The cowl vent opens and closes but doesn't seal. The windshield is cracked. The bed floor is diamond plate with a hole cut in it for the gas filler. I drive this truck everywhere on dry days. It's reliable like a Ranger would be. I took it on the freeway once, never again. Without overdrive it's no good past 50mph and very noisy without rubber seals. If you are interested ask as many questions as needed so there are no surprises. Will work with your shipper for transporting.
