I can possibly help with delivery to the midwest so please contact me with your location. I can also store the car if you need time to come get it.
This is the product of an approximately 75 thousand dollar frame off nut and bolt rotisserie restoration, which isn't counting anything for car's value to start with.
It was done by Steve's Auto Restorations in Portland OR from 1987-1990. Check Steve's web page to see what he is building now and the level of craftsmanshipthat goes in to his restorations. There are stacks of hand written receipts from Steve with every detail of the work done to this car. The bills show that lead wasused in the body work and even the floors were color sanded and polished. The labor rate back then was $18.75 per hour. I stopped adding after 70 some grandin receipts for labor and parts, not counting anything for whatever the car was initially worth. This would be a $150k restoration with todays labor, materials andparts prices.
There are some really minor paint imperfections like a tiny chip or scratch from driving it 189 miles since it was done about 30 years ago.Everything is holding up really well except the headlight bezels are pitted along with the radiator cover being pitted. There are are also some age cracks in the tire tread. The paint on the engine head suffered the most while being in storage. Some engine detailing is needed. The thin leading edge of the hood has paint loss from rubbing against the radiator cover. There is the correct gasket in place but the hood is really close to the coverat the front.
Check RM Sotheby's auctions for the Sam Pack collection from November 14-15 2014 for a Town Sedan not as nice as this one that sold for 41,250.I believe Daniel Schmitt in St. Louis also sold a Town sedan in this price range a few years back.
