This is probably one of the nicest and cleanest 1964 Falcon convertibles that you will find.
The car runs and drives perfectly with no issues. I did add an electric fuel pump to aid starting as the car sits a long time between uses.
The underside, which is not undercoated to cover everything, is probably cleaner than a lot of 2 year old cars. You can still see most of the original paint from when it was painted at the factory when it was built.
This car is very clean and straight with all the original panels and no apparent rust repairs. You can even see the original drain holes in the lower part of the rocker panels. Most of the time these have been covered over with patch material.
The chrome is in very good condition and shines as almost new. The paint is very good with only a few touchups and dings. From a few feet away it looks like a fresh paint job but was painted several years ago and has just never been out in the weather. The interior was replaced with the correct factory pattern a few years ago and still appears almost new. The convertible top is in excellent condition. It could have been installed with a little more attention to detail but still looks very good.
Within the last couple of years the following items have been replaced or updated:
Within the last week the oil and filter have been changed along with greasing the front suspension.
The previous owner told us that they replaced the original motor with a 200 cubic inch 6 cylinder engine instead of the 170 cubic inch which would be original ( we can’t confirm this - the air cleaner decal says 170 cubic inch). Therefore, the actual mileage is unknown.
