Pristine, Fast and Unique Show Mustang/Car #1-Retrobuilt/1967RSC-GT
Retrobuilt RSC-GT (Super Cobra)
This is an absolute dream car that was custom creation by Retrobuilt Motors and made its SEMA SHOW debut in 2015. The car was showcased at SEMA again in 2017, and was also selected to be on the reality show “Battle of the Builders." It took 4 years and more than $400,000 dollars to finish this very rare Super Cobra. It won 1st place at several major car shows and is currently the magazine centerfold feature of the April issue of “Mustang Monthly." The most recent car show the RSC-GT attended was World of Wheels Kansas City 2019 where it was featured on the Fox 4 morning news. The goal for this unique car was to connect the past to the present. Although the RSC-GT looks like a vintage 1967 Mustang GT500 (Eleanor), under the car's fiberglass body panels is the foundation and conveniences of a newer 2011 Ford Mustang GT. The car rides like a dream with all the modern amenities of AC, heated seats, Bluetooth, all power accessories like a back up camera and all the latest technology. While this car is a real beauty on the outside, it's a total beast under the hood! It's powered by a Supercharged Coyote 5.0 with a 150 shot of nitrous, a combination producing over 850 horse power to the reinforced and narrowed racing rear-end. This hand crafted Super Cobra sits on the Ford S197 platform which handles, drives and performs amazing and is still under Ford warranty.
To understand how this build is different than other Resto-Mods, you would have to look at the building process and those involved in designing this amazing car #1 build. Clinton White, who worked with Carrol Shelby for years, was in charge of the creative process turning the 2011 GT into a vintage 1967. Several renderings were produced, that led to hundreds of hours of design and hand crafting on thisbeautiful Retrobuilt team creation. The late Shelby Historian and personal friend of Carrol Shelby, Jim King, was part of the creative process and advising partner on several of the upgrades. His recommendations included the Scott Drake exterior badging; as well as, the name labeling of the Super Cobra. The end results speak for themselves with the smooth body lines of the hand crafted fenders and the multiple custom accents ranging from the hand dipped snake print hydrographics on the motor to the super soft high end ultra leather interior to the totally custom AD stereo system in the trunk of the car. From front to back and start to finish, this entire car is absolutely a work of art! Take a look at the pics and the list of all the features on this RSC-GT and feel free to email me with any questions you may have. In addition, the RSC-GT also has its own Facebook page and the entire build was documented with over 300 hours of video footage and thousand of pictures for a possible Velocity specialty build TV segment. Both will be included with the car. There are simply too many features to list so we just listed a few bullet points below. This car drives perfectly and looks like a dream in person.
