Description

Up for sale is a "One off" and "One of a kind" 1968 Ford Mustang Coupe/Notchback Restomod. It was built by Angelo Vilardo of Toronto Ontario Canada. He is a fan of "late sixties road racing and all the classic machinery of that era", and it was built from the ground up!!!. With hundreds of hours invested, (if not thousands!!!) and an endless supply of funds that went into this project. The car has been featured inMustang 360 (the ultimate source for Mustang News and Reviews Aug 1 2003) What makes this car extremely unique is the front fascia, its made entirely of carbon fiber, as is the hood and the trunk lid. Angelo stumbled across these pieces, almost by accident. He purchased the pieces from a seller who had hand crafted the strong, lightweight mid year parts as prototypes and was hoping to market them. The front fascia is finished off with meshgrille inserts and a hand made aluminum chin spoiler with brake vents. "Out back beneath the duck tail spoiler is a ribbed tailgate pane, a shortened and painted bumper. The side marker lights are filled in, and Shelby sides coops are trimmed down for a more flush fit". As for the rest of the car, "its powered by a FRPP 351W crate motor, shortened 8.8 inch axle housing, a Restomod Speed Shift remote shifter, as well as The Classic Performance Products Mini Sub Frame kit. That suspension kit eliminates the factory strut rods and converts the suspension for an upper and lower A-arm set up which improved the camber curve and added a 1.25 inch roll bar." The car is lower than stock by 1" and on all four corners are flat five spoke Boss 338 rims. The brakes have also been upgrades with discs all round along with a along with a wildwood master cylinder. No expense has been spared in this build, the craftsmanship and attention to detail is also of the highest quality. The car looks as perfect today as seen in the pics which were taken some time ago. Angelo is not looking for any trades, or paypal, and has other master pieces in the works. Thanks for looking, and let us know if you have any questions.
