Description

Have you been searching for the perfect ‘high-end’ Hot Rod, one that looks, drives & performs perfectly in every way? Well, I think I have the Hot Rod you have been looking for! ‘Red Hills Rods & Classics’ is proud to offer you this absolutely gorgeous 1932 Ford Dearborn Deuce Convertible Roadster! Dearborn is the premier manufacturer of steel deuce bodies in the world, and the only body w/ a fully disappearing convertible top. The fit & finish on these... cars is exquisite. A standard '32 roadster body falls short of the necessary requirements to package a top like this, so a completely new body was designed around a hide-away top. Neither a true roadster nor a cabriolet, it is called ‘The Dearborn Deuce Convertible’. It is the result of the efforts of Dearborn Deuce and a major Detroit OE company, well known for its engineering of open-air systems for global auto makers. Dearborn kept any changes as subtle as possible, to preserve the original look of the standard vintage '32 Ford Roadster body, but if you look closely, you'll notice that the doors have been stretched 3" rearward to meet the new top. They are also reshaped at their front edge to bring the side glass forward. The cowl was reworked to accept a specially-designed windshield that meets the side glass. The new side glass is curved, and was tooled exclusively for this car. An opening ‘tulip panel’ behind the seat stores the entire top assembly completely out of sight. They deepened the cockpit by stealing 2.5" from the tulip panel, allowing you to sit back further in the cockpit, providing 2.5” more of leg room. The outer dimensions of the body, and even the stock trunk lid, have remained bone stock. The profile of the car with the top up, however, presents a ‘long nose/short deck lid’ look, because of the windshield set back on the cowl and the top moved 2" further rearward. It's an absolutely spectacular look! The top itself is covered w/ high quality black Haartz cloth, and the rear window is glass w/ a chrome and polished stainless frame, giving the top that old world coach-built look. This particular Dearborn Deuce Roadster is the finest looking & best performing example that I have ever seen or experienced. Finished in semi-gloss Matte Black, it has an ominous appearance that is second to none. Built in 2011, it is a one-owner car that has been in a high-end ‘Hot Rod’ collection, and has only seen 890 miles since its completion. The steel body is laser straight all of the way around the car w/ all of the body panels aligned perfectly w/ precise gaps throughout. The semi-gloss Matte Black paint is absolutely exceptional showing no signs of wear whatsoever. There are no chips, no scratches, and no blemishes to be found anywhere. The black Haartz soft-top fits beautifully when up, and you never get that wrinkled top look, especially w/ the glass rear window. This Roadster looks just as good w/ the top up as it does w/ the top down, which is not normally the case w/ these Hot Rods (see photos w/ the top up). The 1932 step-boxed frame, 4” chrome drop axle, 4-wheel disc brake system, and all of the suspension components are from SoCal Speedshop. Every single component on this car was purchased ‘brand new’ during the build, w/ no used or reconditioned parts used whatsoever. Please look closely at the undercarriage photos to see how beautifully everything was done. She sits on 16” aluminum SoCal Speedshop Hot Rod wheels wrapped w/ Firestone Drag Radials on the rear (10.00 x 16), and Vitron radials up front (205/55/R16).Open the driver’s door and you will find a gorgeous black leather interior, featuring a fully adjustable diamond-stitched black leather seat w/ matching diamond-stitched door panels, billet tilt-steering column w/ wrapped billet 4-spoke steering wheel, body-colored dash w/ Haneline 5 in 1 multi-gauge, Vintage air conditioning, billet AC vents, Custom Autosound bluetooth stereo receiver under the dash, (2) 6” x 9” Pioneer 4-way speakers behind the seat, (2) 4.5” Memphis Car Audio speakers in the kick panels, (2) 2” Memphis Car Audio tweeters in the top portion of the kick panels, (2) sets of black seat belts, and black loop carpeting throughout. The individual gauges in the Haneline multi-gauge package are in perfect working condition, the Vintage air conditioning blows ice-cold, and the custom stereo system sounds absolutely amazing. All of the lights, blinkers, and other electrical components function perfectly throughout. The interior has an ultra-clean appearance w/ the black diamond-stitched seat & door panels adding that perfect touch of elegance. It is also the most comfortable interiors that I have ever experienced in a Hot Rod. The fully adjustable seat allows someone such as myself @ 6’ 2” to fit comfortably and can be adjusted accordingly to fit you shorter guys or gals. The trunk area matches the interior w/ black leather diamond-stitched upholstery and an Optima battery mounted on the side w/ a billet tie-down assembly. Super clean everywhere your eyes land. This beautiful ‘32 Dearborn Deuce Convertible is powered by an asphalt shredding GM Ram-Jet 502/502 fuel-injected crate motor (508hp and 580 Lbs. Ft-Torque), linked to a built GM TH400 automatic transmission, which feeds power to a Ford 9” rear-end w/ 3.73 gears. She fires up instantly w/ a flick of the wrist, settling into a nice smooth idle, and when it is time to go, let me tell you, she GOES! This Hot Rod is SCARY fast w/ loads of brute power & torque, and will pin you back in the seat in the blink of an eye! The 4” stainless-steel exhaust system sounds absolutely incredible, and the low aggressive tone truly matches the ‘all-business’ attitude of the car itself. Steering is smooth and effortless, and the 4-wheel disc brakes will stop you on a dime. This Dearborn Deuce is an absolute BLAST to drive and gets all of the attention everywhere she goes!Whether you are cruising around town or out on the highway, she performs brilliantly in every way. Again, if you have been searching for an all-steel high-end Hot Rod that you can drive & enjoy to the fullest w/out worrying about reliability, and also one that will take home ‘First Place’ awards @ any national level car event, you have found your car!
