Description

I am selling my 1978 Ford F-150 short bed 4x4 pickup. This is a one owner truck from southern Virginia that is loaded with automatic transmission, power steerign, power disc brakes, factory A/C, tilt wheel and cruise control.. I have the original title as well as the owners manual, warranty booklet, and the original warranty plate. The paint on the truck is all original, so there are no hidden issues that you can't see. The owner parked this truck several years ago. Here is a list of what I have done to it since I acquired it. A new gas tank and sending unit was installed and the fuel lines were totally cleaned out. I replace the fuel line from the pump to the carb. The carb was completely rebuilt and new plugs and wires installed. At that point it fired and and ran very well. I had to replace the brake booster and go through the entire brake system to include new rear wheel cylinders, front calipers and pads, front hoses and rear shoes. Now it is going and stopping. At this point the tires would shake your teeth out, so new tires have been installed on 1995 F-150 aluminum wheels. The tires have less than 100 miles on them now, but I drive this truck several days a week, so mileage will increase. It has 89567 original miles on it now. I also replaced the track bar and tierod ends. At some point, I think it should have the strut rod bushings replaced, but it drives great now. he exhaust is all original, but is loud and needs attention, unless you like that noise. As you can see, it needs some cosmetic restoration, but what an easy one to do at this point. This truck can be driven regularly, dependably, and worked on while you drive. The owner got into something ( no idea what) and damaged the right door and the right front of the bedside. The fuel gauge is not working, maybe a fuse, but all other instrument work properly. This truck is being sold as is. You are welcome to come see and drive the truck at anytime while the auction is running. I am starting the bid very low with NO RESERVE. If you are the winning bidder, and you personally come to get the truck and are not satisfied, you don't have to take it, no questions. However, if you send someone other than yourself to transport it, then it is yours to have, hold, and drive...for better or worse. Please feel free to ask any questions, and if there is something you need to see that is not pictured, just ask. Thanks for looking and good luck. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time in the event of a local sale.
