1964 Ford Thunderbolt
Description
1964 Thunderbolt (Tribute Car) This Fairlane was sold Originally from Tasca Ford in Rhode Island in 1964, The Original Thunderbolts, Clones and Tribute vehicle's are bringing big dollars and are increasing every year. I have owned this since 2013 and have enjoyed it and shown it a different shows as well as kept it at our Ford Dealership. The vehicle has been redone completely and runs outstanding. Here is the list of parts: 429 Super Cobra Jet motor with over 400 HP C-4 built transmission with 3500 stall speed converter 9" ford rear end Posi with 3:50 gears Complete front end replacement with a Heidts/Mustang II suspension with manual steering. Front Motor mount plate for better handling Subframe connectors for strength Fiberglass Hood and rear trunk lid Aluminum front and rear bumpers 800 double pumper Carb Complete Ram Air flow system to duplicate original air cleaner with functional tubing and inlet at inside headlights. Interior in great shape and needs nothing. Aluminum Radiator with Electric Fan Electric Water pump pulley driven. Electric fuel pump and Fuel Regulator Hooker Headers, Polished and Powder coated Weld Wheels with skinny Fronts and Drag Radials in rear Original Wimbledon White paint with all matching graphics on paint. Yes it does have slight rusting areas underneath but not a major concern. From the previous owner to me, this vehicle has been driven sparingly and is always garaged with a cover. This reproduction was a bottom up construction with attention to detail. The Thunderbolts are iconic statements of what the drag scene was years and like the Shelby Mustangs, they continue to impress the crowds at any show or Drag Race Track. This one was signed By Bob Tasca III/ Funny Car Driver for Ford/ Quicklane I am always asked about this car and when you drive it the ground shakes. Instant horsepower at your feet.
