1956 ford (courier) sedan delivery. Car was a California rust free unit to start with, taken to bare metal to see any problems, found a little rust in the outer rockers only, replaced with new rockers, (not patched w/metal), inner rockers in good shape, as were the floors, from front to rear. Body was block sanded, and only filler used, was to true all surfaces. Engine used is a 1970 302, which was a very strong runner, but the C4 trans seemed a little weak, that was totally rebuilt, the stock rear end was pulled, and replaced with a new 8" ford, The front suspension was upgraded with a "stop-em-& drop em" dropped spindle (2 1/2) with disc brakes, and new aerostar springs. All new brakes (power) front, drum rear. Air conditioning added, with a under the dash unit.It blows very cool ! Close tolerances under the hood, called for the use of a "March" rotating assembly, as well as a aluminum radiator. The exhaust system is (rare) try-Y headers, to flow masters, to collecters, to exit the exhaust through the rear bumpers. All new factory blue tinted glass used, and windshield has the extra shaded top. all new rubber seals, and window felts. "Dynamat" was used on floors and rear compartments as well as insulation on ceiling, and all interior panels. New headliner, and carpeting, as well as door panels, side panels, and rear door. Original split bench seat, was completely rebuilt, and upholstered to match.
