Description

This is an incredible and very rare unit that we have to offer today. if you are looking at it, you most likley already know what it is. But just in case:
First of all what it is:1993 Ford Econoline E350 1 Ton Van with the Ambulance Conversion. This unit has the 7.3L Diesel Motor. and a Quigley 4x4 conversion. Yes it is very rare to find a unit like this, but the even more amazing part are the miles. only 23,000 original miles. This unit has all of the standard Ford amenities like Cruise Control, Tilt Wheel, Power windows, and locks, Cold AC, and Am Fm Cassette. Everything works as it should.
Mechanically:This thing runs and drives like a 23K mile unit should. The motor starts right up, runs strong, the trans shifts nice and firmly into all the gears, acceleration is good, the steering is solid and straight, the exhaust is quiet, the brakes are excellent with no noises, or pulsations. The suspension is about as nice and silky smooth as a lumber wagon, as one would expect from a 1 ton 4s4 van, but has no noises squeaks and everything is tight. I would not be afraid to get in this and drive it across country today.
Other mechanical notables, Front and rear sway bars, front steering stabilizer, Sterling 10.25 Rear end with 4:10 Limited Slip and front Dana 60. New front brakes, Brand new 265/70/16 AT Tires load range E.
Heavy duty Ambulance package so extra cooling for the engine and trans, huge 140 amp alternator with dual batteries.
Ascetically:It is pretty amazing for a 26 year old vehicle, there is Zero Rust on this unit. The paint and stripes are original and looks amazing. It has not had an accident, the chrome is shiny, the bumpers have some minor use dings, but are straight and very nice. the interior is extremely clean, smells good, and looks like it could be put back in service tomorrow. The underneath has been painted black, not to hide anything just to make it look better. As you can really never say that the underneath is rust free, because inevitably someone will say, "there is some browning on the leaf spring, That is Rust" With that in mind I can say that the underneath is very rust free. It still has factory primer on the underside, the frame is extremely clean. as well as everything else. Overall very impressive condition.
The Ambulance:This is a "Wheeled Coach" Ambulance conversion. It appears that very little if nothing has been done to alter the ambulance items after it was retired. Lots of lights. buttons and switches. Some work, some do not. It is supposed to charge the batteries when plugged into shore power but that does not work. I can get most of the switches to work that turns on the lights buy grounding the relays. When I do that ALL of the lights outside and inside will work. The vacuum pump will come on, the exhaust fan works. Overall I feel that it would not take the right person long to make this into a serviceable rescue unit again but I am not messing with any of the wiring. The person that buys this will most likley make their own Class B Camper Van out of it and remove most of that stuff anyways. So it is sold as is.
The Story. This unit came from Virginia and was only used when a 4x4 rescue was required or an extra ambulance was needed. While not in use it was stored in their climate controlled facility. Thus, the low miles and the incredible condition. It was then purchased by a volunteer fireman on 01/24/2019 with 19,904 miles on, and he used it to move trailers around his propriety. I purchased this from him ad it now has 23,000 miles on it.
Now that we have it:We got it in, did a full clean and detail, put the brand new tires on it, oil change, complete mechanical inspection, it has the winch bumper but no winch. so we installed a brand new 12,000# badlands Winch. the emergency light bar up top was broken so we removed that and added a 52" LED Light bar and a couple more on the front bumper.
There will be a detailed video on this unit in the next day or so as well so watch for that. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION, If you have 5 or less feed back you must contact me before bidding or your bid will be canceled.

This unit has dual batteries, the one on the passenger side was a little small, and we felt that both batteries were weak. So yesterday we replaced both batteries with brand new Interstate Batteries that are the correct size. The drivers side battery is a deep cycle as well.
Also in the video where I am talking about the spare tire. It sounded like I stated that the spare will be put on a rear bumper carrier. It will not. What I was trying to say is that most likley the next owner would put that on a bumper carrier because of the oversize tire. Again We will have a brand new spare tire installed on the rim. If it fits underneath we will put it there, if not it will be inside the van.
Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns and thank you for all of the interest and inquiries that we have had so far.
