This auction is for a low mileage survivor 1957 Ford Custom 300 Fordor Sedan with just over 18k miles. It has an automatic transmission, manual steering/brakes and believe me, drives and handles like new. From sitting some many years after the original owner passed, the next owner pulled the engine and had it rebuilt and put a new exhaust system on it. When I purchased the car, rebuilt/repaired/replaced the following items; many gaskets/seals such as the steering column firewall seal, cowl drain tubes, carburetor, various lamps, front floor covering, pulled the dash and replace the pad, gas tank, radio speaker re-coned for working am original radio, rear bumper with nos, removed all door panels and cleaned inside of each door, lubricated where necessary and replaced all outer door handles. Since the left fender had some damage, I decided to have it painted along with the right fender which had been poorly resprayed years ago. And since the two fenders no long matched the hood and doors, they too were resprayed. The white is mostly original and some of the blue around the windows. The floors including the trunk floor are solid, the only body rust was repaired (right dog leg)....the rest of this car is just solid.
I have driven this car on several local trip and recently a 400 mile round trip to Carlisle PA and its just a sweet ride and handles like new.
I have a clear NJ title in my name, come take it for a ride or call steve @ 201-314-1249 with any questions or for more pictures.
