1966 FORD CORTINA MK1 GT SUPER, 4-SPEED 100% RUST FREE WEST COAST CAR RESTORED

I have up for auction an extremely rare 1966 Ford Cortina MK1 GT Super that came with manual 4-speed transmission, front disc brakes and the GT gauge package like the Lotus Cortina. This West Coast car has just undergone a 95% restoration. This was a down to the metal re paint, any rust was repaired with metal patch panels, all glass was removed. The super body side stainless trim was not put back on the car after paint but is complete and included with the car. The paint has a very faint ghosted in metallic silver/white racing stripe that is slightly visible in the close up trunk panel photo. The car has been fitted with a completely rebuilt 1970 711M block Kent Crossflow motor with extensive performance upgrades with a later model 4-speed transmission. (The original motor and transmission are also included with the car) The block has been bored .060 over and decked .035, the crank was ground and polished, the pistons and rods were balanced and rods sized, high performance race bearings were used. It has a Vulcan Engineering BCF cam and the head has Vulcan Engineering hardened seats and larger valves and performance springs. The motor also has a new lightened and balanced flywheel, a new clutch kit, new brake master cylinder, new clutch slave cylinder, new alternator, water pump, new aluminum racing radiator and a rebuilt starter motor. The motor has just been installed and has been driven less than 150 miles. It has a brand new exhaust system front to back with a MagnaFlow import style performance muffler. The interior has all new door panels and carpets from England, new door sill plates and screws, New Ford Racing steering wheel, new vintage 60's style leather front racing seats. (the car only had one original front seat and that is included with the car) It has a brand new pair of three point seat belts in black. The fuel tank was refurbished and has a rebuilt fuel level sending unit, the brakes and rear wheel cylinders are new. The wheels and tires are brand new mini light wheels from England size 13x7 all around. All lights, wipers, heater are working, the tachometer and original radio are not working. The horn just needs to be wired, the directional signal and horn button lever are new NOS just installed. The volt meter, fuel gauge and temperature gauge are working intermittently. I will let the next owner sort that out. The original jack, four original rims, three original hubcaps and the original owner's manual are also included. Thank you for looking.
