1964 FORD GALAXIE 500 XL CONVERTIBLE GOOD DRIVER QUALITY CAR
Description
This auction is for a 1964 Ford GalaxyXL Convertible. 390 V-8 4BBL, Dual Exhaust, Automatic Transmission, Power Steering, Standard Brakes, Power Top. This is a 2 owner car. I remember the elderly lady in South Berwick Maine who was the original owner and then a gentleman from Lebanon Maine who was the second owner. He passed away approximately10 years ago where the car sat in his garage until a good friend of mine purchased the property and the vehicle. When he purchased the car it had very minor rust in a few places and he had that all repaired. In late 98 he had the motor sent out and rebuilt. He used to drive the car to all the shows and was a Ford Club member. The car runs great, shifts fine and is a good driver. It has had one repaint and the interior is still stock original. There are a few cracks on the dash pad, carpets have a little fade and a couple of seat corners have thread missing. Top still works fine. There is a little exhaust leak on the passenger side. I believe it is a gasketas the manifolds are new. The underside of the car is rock solid. Nice clean frame and floors. There are two little spots on the far left and right in the trunk just above the body mount areas. He covered them with a small piece of tin. Other than that the trunk pan is perfect. All the chrome and stainless is in decent shape other than the rear bumper. The bumper is good and solid but has some chrome peeling just under each tail light. You can see where therewas some chrome tape to cover it up and we removed one side so you can see. Just replaced all (4) tires with new Radial White Walls and looks like the spare in the trunk is new. Also have some extra parts including new rear brake drums in the boxes, fuel pump, carb kit. Boot for the top is in the trunk also. Just a nice driver quality XL convertible that can be enjoyed the way it is or upgrade it as you go along. We reserve the right to end the auction early in case of a local sale. if it meets the reserve we will let the auction run its course. We have a Maine Registration and proper transfer paperwork should you need a title in your state. We require a $500 Non Refundable Deposit at end of sale and balance due 3 days after auctions end.
