This mustang was built in Metuchen,NewJersey assembly plant hadreceivednotice ofshutdown for the mustang assembly linein late 1970 and byapproximately1971Mustang production was no longer offered at this plant. Some peoplebelievethese aresomeof the rarest Mustangs you can find. This plant was also the only plant that I know of to used "Buck tags" for assembly.
All serious buyer I would recommend coming look in at this vehicle in person because the picture do not dojustice for this vehicle. The mustangscurrent color is Candy tangerine orange with black on the hood. Inside the black on the hood are hidden ghost flames that only show up when the sun shines injust the right angle.
The original of the vehicle waspewter (gray). The car will be sold as is and the buyer isresponsiblefor shipping. I have a standard Marti report to give to the new owner, whichgives more detailed information about originalequippeditems.
The Marti report classifies the body as a Sportsroof. The car needs a good home from someone who has the time to give it the TLC that it needs. The last last few times I drove the car the starter has been dragging which is common for a starter that is older.I crank the car approximately once a week and try to drive it. Please keep in mind as with any used car that it is not perfect and will need some work done to it. Am- Radio not included since it was not in the car when we
Purchased it.
My husband bought me this car and knew a 1971 Mustang is my dream car (because my father has a few but last year my brotherswappedhis attention from the 1969 Red Mustang with a 302 boss engine with amanualtransmission to my1971Mach1 Boss (351cleveland ) original color Grab-a-lime green with blackstripeand rear fin with a am radio with a roof cockpit audio system! However, My father says i would have more spare parts if i swapped.....) but with him working a lot we have not had enough time to give it the TLC it deserves; we also have 3 kids and a mustang is not as cheap on fuel as a Manual Honda Accord soit'snoteconomicalenough or family oriented to seat 5 safely.
Plus I haven'tboughtanyNeilYoung or eagle cassettes yet... ;} (inside joke for my Daddy)
The vehicle is located in BoyceLouisiana, please call me at 1-318-623-4840 if you would like more information or toschedulea day to viewthe vehicle.
I hope I don't regret selling it.
