Description

1965 Ford Mustang Hardtop Coupe 289 V8 Auto AC
Back in 1965 as my father entered the Army he inherited a little money and bought a 1965 Mustang, Ivy Green, Black Vinyl Roof, Auto, AC, 289 Coupe. I was only 1 year old but we had the car for 7 years and I remember being stationed all over the country with it.
Fast forward many years to my father's retirement in 2012. Knowing he was going to retire soon, I set out to find his old car, or one like it, going off memory. I work in the car business. After a lengthy search I found a restored 65 coupe in Ivy Green. I purchased the car and brought it back to PA and my shop. I then spent a huge sum of money to make it look just as I remembered his original. I had the interior stripped and added the Pony interior. I had the black vinyl roof installed. We added AC and Power Steering. We also spent time and money on all of the little items to make sure the car was perfect. Along the way we rebuilt the motor and carb. Redid the exhaust. Redid the AC again, it blows ICE COLD. Went through the suspension and brakes. Everything on this car has been attended to. You could drive it across the country.
My mother and I gave the car to my father for his retirement. He spent 2 decades as an Army Doctor and two plus more in private practice. He had the means to drive any car within reason but we wanted him to have his first love back. My father has faithfully driven this car for the last 7 plus years. Shipping it back and forth from Florida in the winter to NJ in the summer. The car has been cared for by Magic Auto Repair in NJ which specializes in American vintage and classics. NO expense has been spared keeping this car running and looking exceptionally well.
This car is a not a trailer queen, its a very very nice driver which you can actually enjoy with the cold AC and power steering. You'll be proud to show it at local shows. I have enjoyed attending several with my father and his mustang.
