Description

DJ's Cars & Trucks LLC is proud to offer this1989 Ford Bronco custom built 4-door by Magnum Motor Coach. Although this truck runs and drives, it is being sold as a project. Good running fuel injected 351W, C6 auto trans and automatic locking electronic 4WD. It was driven 54 miles to my home and then another 3 miles to my business location without any problems.

So,if it runs and drives, why is it a project? First off let me start by saying it runs smooth, shifts well and the 4WD works! Problems? It has a known transmission leak and possibly other fluids also. I can only guess that it sat for awhile before I got it and the seals have dried up. It also needs front end work, it takes some concentration to keep it going straight down the road. Brakes? Well, it stops but I think that one of the front calipers is sticking. If you're still with me after that, you need this Bronco!

This truck is COOL and grabs attention weather its sitting out front of the dealership or at the stop light! Honestly, how many 4-door Bronco's have you seen? I did a bit of research on it and have found that the owner of Magnum Motor Coach had been the President of Centurion (who also built 4-door Bronco's) and they were only built in small numbers for a few years in the late 1980's and early 1990's before going out of business. There are no estimates on how many were built.

From what I have found, it started as a regular Bronco XLT and was completely disassembled. All of the suspension, drivetrain, etc were transferred to an F150 extended cab, short bed frame (no cutting and weldingdone to the frame to extend it). Next the body was cut behind the doors and the rear of a sectioned F250 4-door cab was placed in between the two half's of the Bronco body and welded back together. The welds can be seen under the truck on the floor but a vinyl top was put on the roof of the body to cover the outer welding seams. This truck is titled as a Bronco.

The interior is quite interesting too as it has 3 rows of seats. In the front, the standard buckets with center storage console, the middle has a 2/3's split bench that folds forward on the passenger side to let the rear seat passengers in and the rear seat is the standard Bronco bench. Also interesting in the interior is a complete roof mounted rear A/C system inside the removable Bronco cap. Although it is complete, unfortunately, the wires and hoses werecut on the rear A/C unit to remove the cap. A/C does not work. Driver door and tailgate power windows do not work. Also interesting is that the front windows are power but the rears are manual.Overall the interior is in goodcondition.

Finally to the body. The frame and body arerust free from the door handles downthe only damage is behind the driver side rear wheel where a tire blew out and hit it. From the door handles up is another story. There is some rust above the windshield, on the drip rails, in the seam where the cap mounts to the body and on the roof under the vinyl top. The rust issues are fixable, this Bronco is NOT a basket case. The only other rust I found is at the bottom of the tailgate...its a Bronco.

True mileage unknown, this Bronco has a 5 digit odometer as noted above.

Ultimately the truck needs a little bitof everything but it does not need a lot of anything that I can see. As I said up top, a very coolproject for only$3650plus tax (must be towed). NO DEALER FEE!
