Description

1929 Model A ford Coupe, engine number A1774281*. Solid body. Original color was Duchess Blue. Color can be seen in trunk and interior. It was agreen but I did a quick sand and white primer with the black accents. It is a primer job not a quality paint job.Did it for better presentation.Hood is on but took pics without hood to show ratrod potential. Had a Model A club member tell me these were the best front fenders he had ever seen. No cracks. He was alsoimpressed with the solidness of the body. Unknown Mileage. I wouldn't consider this a barn find but more of a survivor considering how easy it was to get it operational again. I don't know the details but I would say that it was probably used up until a few years ago. I think the oil tells the story. The oil looked really good on the dip stick. I drained about 4 1/2 qts out with no problem (it didn't gloop out like it was 20 year old oil) and I added 4 3/4 qts to get to the full mark on the stick.

Car runs and drives. Ignition, brakes, clutch, tranny, steering all work. Attempted to clean Fuel tankand I am usinga new sediment jar and fuel lines to the carb BUT the sediment in the tank is still clogging the fuel line and you have to remove jar and blow out theline to the tank to get itclear! Tolliston carb, rebuilt. Runs good when it is getting fuel. Cooling system is good to go. Apparently the water pump is from a Baldwin combine and I was told it was a very good pump. The radiatorwas cleaned and there areNo nests or critter debris inside cooling system.

Electrical wiring will need replacement but the starting/ignition circuit works. New 6 volt optima battery. Still 6v pos ground set up.

The red seats are from a Cesna airplane and they just happen to fit so I used them. They will be included in sale. I have the original seat springs and wooden frames.

There are a few rust areas. behind seats(see pic). Couple places under car. pics of the rust behind the drivers rear wheel area. Was told rear bumper mount to rear crossmember is a problem for cracks. This one has no damage.

No spoke wheels. These wheels are Cragarstyle 69 steels wheels in the correct bolt pattern, 195/65-15 front and 235/75-15 rear.

I have some extra parts that I have not installed. Light bar, Mallory 6v coil, hinge mirror, rear spring bolt kit, rear spring shackle/bushing kit, misc gaskets. Also have extra intakes for modifying, an extra exhaust manifold and a Marvel Shebler carb.

Brakes-Fronts were cleaned and adjusted. Wheel bearings repacked. Everything was in good condition. I just cleaned brakes and didn't replace any parts. I didn't pull rear drums so I just adjusted the rear brakes. They work fine.

I had to put something on for title so I put salvage but it has no title. I can provide any type of bill of sale you think you might need. I wanted to make a RAT ROD or HOT ROD but this is still a solid candidate for a restoration.
