Since its completion it has logged about 5k miles. As you can see it has been carefully taken care of. The build quality was very nice with a lot of attention to detail. The paint shows well with a nice shine. The body is in excellent condition with no signs of rust or corrosion. The front floors were replaced properly with correct reproduction metal. The tub was sprayed with bedliner for easy clean out and excellent corrosion protection. The frame was completely stripped and painted in Chassis Black. The components were all added after paint, note the clean and unpainted fasteners. A 'Long Travel' suspension with James Duff Long Arms was installed to help keep the steering geometry in the sweet spot. The steering box is a 4x4x2 box mounted to a braced frame and is connected to 1-ton tie rods and DOM Tubing for crisp steering response without the typical frame deflection. This combination is what we consider optimum for a capable off-roader and an extremely comfortable 70 mph one handed cruiser.Inside the interior is nicely appointed and quite comfortable. The front seats are Tom's Premiums and the rear is a Fold n Tumble unit. The dash has been fitted with a unique gauge pod. A navigation unit has been installed and is used for the speedometer. Custom console with a lock box as well as a heavy duty glove box keeps your items safely yours. The roll bar is a 6-point unit with nice padding properly placed.Under the hood is a 351 Windsor that has been fitted with TFS aluminum cylinder heads, TFS hydraulic roller camshaft, Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, Holley Truck Avenger carburetor, long tube ceramic coated headers and more. Power is estimated at 400 horsepower. The transmission is a ZF 5 speed from a F-Series Ford pickup. It shifts beautifully and works beautifully with a compound low and an overdrive. The hydraulic clutch works nicely though the throw out bearing rattles when idling in neutral which is typical on some of the ZF's. The engine produces plenty of horsepower for nearly any driver while being extremely comfortable in summer stop & go traffic. Both front & rear axles were serviced for restoration. The front Dana 44 has a limited slip 4.10 ratio while the 9" 4.11 ratio is a conventional. Both work excellent. The brakes have been upgraded to Power Front Disc with drum on the rear. They work excellent with a nice pedal feel. A vacuum reservoir helps keep enough vacuum for them to work consistently with the large camshaft. The wiring has been completely replaced with a Painless system, front to back. There is now room in the system for upgrades like a large stereo system or air conditioning. The headlights have been upgraded with LED units that light up the darkest of nights. The wheels are 18" Moto Metals with 35 x 12.50 Toyo AT II tires. They look, fit and work excellent. For Transport we recommend Mike's Discount Auto Transport for some of the best prices and customer service in the industry. They are family owned and operated.
