1965 Ford Mustang-Shelby Replica
Description
Restored with some modern touches. The car did start with a salvaged title out of California, but there was no damage to the frame or damage to the body. Under the hood is a Ford Racing crate 347. I've never had it dyno'd, but supposedly 375 HP. It has a 5 speed manual transmission, 4 wheel disc brakes and a radio/CD player. I also recently replaced the 14" cragar wheels with 18" Chip Foose wheels and low profile tires. This car is a perfect blend of old and new. The vehicle has approximately 5800 miles on the restoration. The engine has a Holley carburetor on it, which needs rebuilt. I was going to install EFI on it, but just never did. The car is a blast to drive and is very reliable. It looks fantastic and gets people's attention where ever it goes. It has good sounding exhaust note, but not very loud. It has an amazing amount of torque and cruises at 70 MPH with ease. It rev's a tad over 2k at 70, which seems to be it's comfort zone. It has working AC, but I never use it. I love cruising with the windows down. I had all new front and rear seatbelts installed. I love the car, but all is does is sit in my garage, until I decide to drive it because I'm old school and don't like to let cars just sit forever without starting them and driving it around the block to get the "juices flowing".
