Description

What a cool custom cruiser we have here. This well documented build is what every hot rod strives to be. This T-Bucket was painstakingly built by the current owner to create a comfortable Model T with a fantastic look that is actually fun to drive! A lot of T-Buckets are thrown together and are scary at any speed, but this car was built to be driven and enjoyed. The 13,988 miles on the odometer since the car was built prove... that it has been driven and enjoyed. The build started with a real steel body purchased from Woodworth Garage in Culver City California. The body, bed and tailgate are all steel! The body was then taken to Bristol Wisconsin where the build took shape. The frame was built from 2x3 rectangular tubing that is 3/16” thick for plenty of rigidity. The frame is pinched at the cowl and stepped over the rear axle. Five crossmembers make for a solid and sure feeling drive quality. The body is painted in urethane satin black and has red and white pinstriping to add some flair. The doors are painted with the Woodworth Garage name to bring it all back to where the build started. The small block Chevy V8 engine was painted up to look like a Ford Y-block V8 and even has stickers on the valve covers to complete the illusion. The owner said he gets a kick out of guys at car shows arguing over what engine he has. The engine is backed by a Saginaw 3-speed manual transmission that feels great! The power is then routed to an S10 rear end with 3.08 gears that make it very cruiser friendly. The front end is from a 1937 Ford with early style GM front disc brakes for plenty of stopping power. The front end has been painted black with red accents that really make it pop. The interior and top were completed by Inside Rides in Waterford Wisconsin and bring some luxury to the inside of this T-Bucket. The top folds down or can be removed completely depending on your mood and the weather. The steering wheel is a quick release to make climbing in and out easier. The attention to detail during the build really shows through with things like storage compartments under the seats. You can store a drink in the included cupholders, a jacket, purse or anything else that might normally have to sit at your feet. Seat belts have been added for the safety of you and your passenger. A custom control panel has been installed under the dash that controls all lights, seat heaters, phone charger and even the starting of the vehicle. A battery disconnect has been installed to keep your battery from draining while the car is stored, and the fuel tank is hidden nicely in the bed. A few snaps of the tonneau cover and you have access to the fuel filler. The wood bed is beautiful and provides a little more storage if needed. The real beauty of this vehicle, aside from the killer good looks, is that the current owner built the car. That means we have a binder of photos, receipts and parts lists so the new owner will know exactly what went into this build. Should something need replaced, you won’t be guessing as to what part was used. We know it has 1973 GM front disc brakes, a 1965 Chevelle steering box, Wilwood master cylinders, hydraulic clutch, a 1937 Ford front end and an S10 rear end, etc. There are no surprises, mysteries or hours spent hunting for a part should something go out. This Model T is titled as a 1926 Ford Truck and is ready for a new home! This beauty has been featured in both Streetrodder Magazine and Rod and Custom Magazine! This Model T also has a trailer hitch if you have a small trailer to pull for car shows or long cruises.
