Ford Model T touring 1915
Description
I bought this 1915 Ford Model T Touring car at the end of 2012. I have no idea as to how many miles are on it but had to list an amount. The previous owner had the motor rebuilt with aluminum pistons and a high compression head. The motor is very strong and along with the Warford transmission is a pleasure to drive and with the hydraulic brakes you will be able to stop it. Immediately I noticed the universal joint knocking and upon examination found the entire rear end needed rebuilding and we replaced everything including both axles. The previous owner had added a distributor to which we added an alternator with two Optima 6 volt batteries connected in series on either side of the gas tank under the seat which is in excellent condition. The car is mostly an original car and could easily be converted back to coils, which I believe I have and came with the car. Many more parts and tools came with the car also. The carburetor is a Holley NH straight through carb giving it more power. The motor is a 1915 with a hand crank. I took off the water pump as it ran better and did not overheat. The radiator is in very good shape. The turn signals are very visible and work well. No problem seeing the brake lights. I had the seats covered by a professional upholsterer installing a Cartouch kit and did the inner panels myself. The top is in excellent condition and has the roll up back window which lets more air in. You will love the toneau when touring as you will not have to reload it every day. The McLaren wire wheels ease the ride and make it easier to handle. Since I have had the car my health has been failing and I have only attended 5 tours. I am not sure as to how many miles I have put on the car but know it is not 4000. Should you be looking for a dependable Model T Touring car in great condition here it is at a good price. When I bought the car I paid $22000.00
