Description

AS PURCHASED:

This 1960 Squarebird is very straight and basically rust free.It has the original 352 Cu In, 300 hp engine with automatic transmission. The odometer indicates just over 60k original miles (supposedly) and runs well.It has power steering, power brakes, and the original radio that works. All of the chrome, including the front grill, is in near perfect condition. The original interior is great. All of the dashboard instrument panel indicators (except the clock) work well. There's a 5-inch blemish on the driver's side door (see photo) and a small imperfection over the passenger's side tail light (see photo).Other than that, the exterior has a few dings and some rust bubbles under a few sections of the paint. The gray exterior finish is dull, but the black finish is shiny. The undercarriage is solid.

IMPROVEMENTS:

Since I have owned the vehicle, I have replaced the stop light switch, generator, battery, thermostat, expansion tank, heater core valve, heater core, driver's side door lock, driver's side window, master brake cylinder, and mufflers.I have had the power steering professionally rebuilt with a front end wheel alignment, tune-up, and cooling system flush.

The vehicle does not have air conditioning, but when I purchased the car I also purchased all of the air conditioning parts.I will not charge extra for the parts, because I cannot guarantee that all of the parts are there.

STILL NEEDS:

The transmission leaks and the oil pan needs to be replaced. The power window motors on the passenger's side window and two rear windows have to be replaced. It infrequently pops out of park, so the detent may have to be replaced.Other issues that have to be addressed are: rear spring bushings, front and rear shocks (two are included), lower control arm bushings, rear drive shaft u joint, front sway bar, upper control arm bushing, lower ball joints, right front ball joint, front wheel bearings, and the steering gear box needs to be adjusted. If this seems like an exhaustive list, may I remind you that this car is 59 years old and any 59 year old car will have similar issues.I am trying to provide as much information as I can so that the buyer can make an educated decision.
