VEHICLE HISTORY:
This Mustang was purchased from Ron Levitt Ford in Philadelphia, PA and driven by the original owner until being put into storage in 1991. At some point, the owner passed away and his wife continued to pay the storage bills until 2014, at which time the car was sold. The new owner replaced the gas tank and did a few other things to get it running and driving. I bought the car from him in January 2015 and brought it home to Florida, where I have completed a driver-quality restoration over the past 4 years. This classic Mustang starts, runs, and drives very well.
NEW IN THE PAST 4 YEARS:
FULL DISCLOSURE:
The Mustang is wearing a 2-year-old driver-quality Maaco paintjob ($1800). It looks very nice, but it is not perfect or “show” quality. There was some minor rust repair on the lower quarter panels and one front fender. Rockers were surprisingly solid and required no repair.
A section of the driver-side floor was replaced with sheet metal and several smaller rust areas in the floor were repaired with fiberglass
The rear seatbelts are non-operable.
The vacuum-operated heater water valve was replaced with a mechanical valve but the controls have never been connected. This does not affect operation of the A/C which works and blows cold air.
The heavy urethane covered front bumper, used only on the 1973 model, has been replaced with a 71/72 chrome bumper.
