1930 Ford Model A ~ Rumble Seat ~ Coupe ~ Hot Rod
So sad to let this one go. It was a father/son project with my dad before he passed. Had it for years and have taken it to shows, cruise nights, and has been a favorite with the neighborhood kids. She runs, drives, steers, stops, and operates great!
The Goods:
All original Henry Ford steel body and frame
This one is the coupe model and has retained the rumble seat, it is a TON of fun when cruising around the neighborhood or a local car show. Everyone wants to jump in that rumble seat!
The body has one of the MOST professional chops I've EVER seen, no seams at all are visible from the outside and even if you search them out from inside the car they look great and clean. The roof was done too and the thing is flat and straight with no warping at all. No rust or rot on this body either. Great shape!
Original Frame has been boxed and reinforced for strength
Chevy 327 small block with 3 two barrel Rochester carbs with progressive linkage, she's SO fast! You really have to point the car in the direction you want to go before you tap on the gas. It's not for the faint of heart.
"Zoomie" header pipes look so cool and are loud as hell!
Converted over to electronic ignition, no more setting points. If you've ever done that then you know how important this small upgrade can be.
2 core aluminum radiator and fan, she NEVER overheats EVER
Brand new TH350 automatic transmission and recently re-balanced driveshaft
Freshly rebuilt 1957 Chevy rear end has been rebuilt bulletproof by the best in the biz Mr. Pat Barrett.
Wide White Wall tires with beauty rings and the bullet caps all around
All lights, blinkers, turn signals, and even the radio all in working order
The front windshield tilts out and works properly giving you that 1930's air conditioning technology ha ha ha
Disc brakes front, drum rear stops this ultra lightweight car on a dime
Trailer hitch is great for add on accessories depending on your needs.
The Bads:
There is a bit of paint cracking happening in the trunk corners where the rumble seat closes
There is a good size paint chip on the lower firewall
Some idiot tried to tighten the steering linkage bar with plumbing tools and dug a few teeth marks into it
Some typical small scratches around the undercarriage/suspension of the car
The carburetors work well but are getting due for a rebuild soon
There is a tear on the side of the rumble seat cushion, needs to be stitched
Car has an inoperable heater box I haven't debugged it yet. Can't confirm if it'll be a simple ground fix or need a brand new one.
What you see is what you get, no hood, fenders, step rails, etc. come with the car
