Awesome barn find! Runs and drives great! The man that owned it had restored many 1940 cars and trucks. He got this car in 2007 and since then he rebuilt the engine, replaced the brakes including the lines, replaced fuel lines and pump. I am sure he worked on other stuff too but just don't know for sure. He never got to restore the interior or body, he passed away 6 months ago. The most amazing thing about this car is the lack of rust! This car must have been sitting in a garage most of its life. It is all original and in amazing condition for an 80 year old car. The original paint was green and then someone painted it white but not very well. There is some rust in the back on the body panel that is under the bumper/trunk area which looks like a pretty easy spot to replace and some above the door jam on the back passenger door. I was amazed when I got under the car! It has no rust in the floors/fenders/doors! This car deserves to be restored! I have lots of pictures of everything so let me know if you would like to see anything in particular. UPDATE.9/18/19 I realised I forgot to mention the hood is not attached, one of the hinges is broken, I did buy a set of good used hinges but have not put them on the car, they will go with the car.
