DJ's Cars & Trucks LLC is proud to offer this 1989 Ford Thunderbird SC that gets thumbs up from enthusiasts at red lights and lots of attention at local cruise-ins. I have been driving this special car personally and have put almost 300 miles on it and it has performed fantastic! At 27 years old it only has 121K miles on it and its one of only 8041 manual transmission Super Coupes built in its first year of production. It is an unmolested virgin ready to cruise as-is or update with some performance mods. Comes with years of repair and maintenance receipts in the glove box and the original owners manual. The only modifications I have found are an aftermarket AM/FM cassette player with 12 disc CD changer in the trunk and a rear spoiler.
This car runs and drives great! Being that it's supercharged it has lots of power. The electronic controlled Tokico shocks work flawlessly, handling is superb. The clutch and shifter are tight and the 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes and brand new sport tires bring it to a controlled stop quickly.
Amazingly, all of the electronics work on this gem. A/C - cold! Heat - hot! Sunroof - slides open or vents up and does not leak! Power windows - work! Power door locks - work! Power mirrors - work!Cruise control - works! Power antenna - works! Automatic headlights - work! Driver and passenger power seats with lumbar control - work! Vanity mirrors in sun visors - work!Electronic suspension control - works! Drivers door combination keyless entry system - works! Well, all except for one item - the drivers automatic shoulder belt does not run up and down the track, it is locked in the rear position and has to be manually latched when you get in...still safe and functional.
Now I'm not going to say this car is like new because its not. The mostly original paint looks goodbut it has acquired a few dings and scratches in its 27 years and 121K miles. I have recently noticed that the driver side fog light is missing since the pictures were taken, did it fall off or get stolen? Don't know, but the bracket and wiring harness are still there. The interior looks greatwith only a couple ofsmall imperfections, no cracks in the dash! The windows are tinted. The only place that I've found any rust is above the drivers side rear wheel on the quarter panel where it looks like there is some old body and paint work and a little on the lower edge of the drivers front fender where it goes into the ground effect, other than that its rust free including the floors and trunk.
