Previous owner stated the engine and transmission werefreshened up3000 miles ago. I do not have receipts. The odometer was set to zero whenthe work was done. The car has power steering.

The car was involved in a rear end accident and sat in the shop for about two years getting fully repaired and rebuilt. No frame damage, but both rear quarters were replaced as well as the lower trunk panels and valance. The cowl was leaking so the cowl was taken out and replaced and somethe floor boardshad some metalcut out and new metal welded in ( see underside photos and video). All professionally done. The paint on this car is very nice as you can see in the photos and video. All photos in the auctionwere taken in the past several weeks. No photos of the accident or damage are available.

This car is a clone of a V-8 GT. Hagerty Classic car insurancewill insure a rebuilt salvage title car. I have it with Hagerty now and had my agent call to verify. They said they get that question a lot, so don't be afraid to buy a rebuilt car as you can get full coverage on them. I imagine many of these 50 year old Mustangs are rebuilt weather the title reflects that or not. Also I understand USAA will lend on cars that are rebuilt salvage too. The fear of buying one has been removed by the fact that Hagery will insure them after they have been rebuilt.

It was originally a six cyl convertible with a manual trans as you can tell by the small brake pedal( the clutch pedal is under the newcarpet if you ever wanted to switch it back to a manual from the current automatic). The conversion was done to make the car more enjoyable to drive. The door data tag is not on the car, so the other components are unknown how the car was made originally, but if you are looking for a original car this is not the one at all. This is more of a car someone would want if they did not want to spend big bucks on a realGT and buy this car to drive and enjoy, or if you just want a beautiful 1966 Mustang Convertible to drive and enjoy for less.

If you were to purchase a 6cyl car and then convert it to a V-8 you would spend way more to get the car to this level, so take advantage of this one! It looks like a $37,000 car and you can get it for 1/2 that price!

Radio, wipers and fan and hornnot working. The fan has a new motor. The lights and signals work. For some reason the back up lights are on all the time. So you have some small items to figure out. Good easy rolling up windows all around. Manual top, black top boot, spare and aftermarket jack included.

The car starts easily. See video. Getting a vibration at about 50mph that disappears around 53. Maybe need to balance the tires? The title is free and clear listing the car as a salvage rebuilt and indicating the car had a total loss claim.

The car is in my name only. I have sold a few cars on eBay over the years as I am a car hobbyist that loves old cars. I always will tell a buyer If the car is not what I described and you pick it up in person. You can walk away. I want you to be happy with your purchase and will allowyou to walk awayif it is not what I described. You will see I am going to provide more info than most as I want you to be happy with the car.

If you have been wanting to get a cool old car that is really mostly done and looks fantastic, but you don't want to pay the big bucks then jump in and get this car.

Look over the photos and watch the video and then call me for any questions or to end the auction and buy this car. Larry 252-916-4367. I am in Washington North Carolina 27889.
