1913 Ford Model T Speedster, highly original, restored 1956, really cool old car
Description
This great antique car is a great example of the most important car in automotive history - the Model T.
The car was built in 1913 at the Ford Highland Park plant, Highland Park (Detroit area), Michigan, USA.
The original Brass Patent Plate with serial number is attached to the firewall
Car is very solid, and every thing appears to be original, ie frame, fenders, steering, axles, transmission, rear end.
The brass radiator, headlights (acetylene), rear light (kerosene), are original to the car.
I would not use the present acetylene tank.
Original engine was 357086. That engine made it a 1913. Present engine is 395505, a period correct engine.
Last time it ran was 5 years ago. I have preserved it for storage, and stabilized the car.
The car including the engine, transmission, and rear end was rebuilt in 1956, but we do not know which engine got that rebuild. The car won a mechanical award and race at the the OLD BROWNSVILLE in JUNE 1958.
The wire wheels are PHELPS. The PHELPS wire wheels are very unique and rare.
