Description

This 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback has a great Shelby-style look and strong V8 power to back up its performance appearance. So everything from the four-on-the-floor to the growl of the V8 lets you know this is a powerful pony meant for driving. Shelby used them as the basis for the GT350, it seems quite appropriate when one gets the proper snake-bitten upgrades. Bright white paint with the blue triple rocker stripe sets the tone correctly. The details... are nice with hood pins, dual exhaust in the valance, and the pony emblem offset in the blackout grille. Plus, you have the extra-speedy GT350R look with the hood scoop and the added opening of the competition-style front end. In fact, if you look at the front end it as a touch of the Eleanor flair with the lower chin spoiler. And that speed with style look continues on the polished Cragar SS wheels. The interior continues the race-ready attitude with modern competition-style bucket seats, RCI harnesses, and plenty of frills eliminated for lightness, including the back seats. The wood-rimmed steering wheel feels grippy in your left hand, and your right one may never want to leave the Hurst shifter. There's a full gauge package, including auxiliary readouts and a large AutoMeter tach mounted on the steering column. Plus, toggle switches and a push-button start are true track-ready pieces. So while there is an AM/FM cassette stereo upgrade, we all really know your favorite soundtrack starts in the engine bay. Under the hood is a hardy Ford small block. It has been enhanced and fortified with Trick Flow aluminum heads, four-barrel carburetor, and Edelbrock Victor Jr intake. The set of long tube headers adds more power while also contributing to the rumble of the H-pipe dual exhaust. And you have complete control over the V8 power and its thunderous soundtrack thank to the four-speed manual transmission. It's a classic performance car that knows how to keep you in-touch with the road. The Monte Carlo bar in the engine bay and tubular subframe connectors strengthen the body. And the front disc brakes and BF Goodrich T/As offer the right grip. This is the Mustang fastback that's built to look fast and be fast. That's why you know this deal will be going fast.
