Description

1968 Ford Falcon Futura Sport Coupe. 289 engine, 9 inch rear end. automatic trans original to the car. I guess that considering it is over 50 years old.. with what looks like metal done to the floor.. It sure seems solid overall. It spent some decades in the Carolina's. This vehicle has a odometer discrepancy on the title. It was put on by mistake.. but it is there. It states less than 31,155 miles on the odometer. Otherwise it is a clear title. It has a rebuilt engine.. all stock though. A friend of mine wanted to see if we could make it faster. We put a tunnel ram and a set of dual Holly's on it. The engine starts and runs.. but it has not been broken in yet. It ran for 2 minutes. I then had it brought back to the my home after being told that a ford specialist needed to fine tune the dual carbs. I had a person who races Ford's tell me to place a single carburetor on the vehicle for the first thousand miles. He says it will break the motor in better. I have not had time to put it on. I have the single intake for the carburetor at this time.. but again.. it is not on yet. I may have it put on this week.. if I get the time to bring it to their shop. But otherwise.. it is a 289.. original to the vehicle.. with an automatic transmission.. with it's original rear end. it needs a new emergency brake cable.. but as of 4 months ago, it had new brakes installed all around. All fluids are checked. The car does not have a completed exhaust system. it seems to make it to just under the back seat.. and it ends with the 2 cherry bombs that are under there. It begins off the engine with a pair of headers to lead to the rest of the system. basically the system is a strait pipe system. It came with Bucket seats.. but those seats have been replaced with newer Ford Mustang seats that have no resemblance to the original seats that came with it. So to make it original.. those seats need to be purchased from an outside source and put in the car. The back seat seems to be original and is in good condition. Newer cd radio placed below dash. The Ford has a typical 50 year old car trait.. a bunch of different spots that are slightly dinged.. withsurface rust in different areas. Looks beat up visually. The outer body has an old paint job.The gas tank was cleaned out at the same time that the brakes were done.. at which time both carburators were rebuilt. Tires are old in the back. The rest are a bit newer. The Craiger ss center caps are somewhere in my garage.. If I find them.. the next owner can have them. The front craigers are old and somewhat rusty. The front bumper has a dent on it and a tad of rust on that spot. The car has pits in the chrome as most of the chrome has that issue. The rear bumper has rust on the top area.. and needs rechroming. The pealing paint is existing on the car.The interior is black.. with the original dashboard.. The hood is in the garage..and is faded black with a hood scoop. I will place it back on the car if it sells. . Anyone interested .. please come by. (440) 759-9683. There is aslo some rust by the bottom of the rear window.I have the chrome pieces for the window.. It needs a new seal and the chrome reinstalled. The missing 289 chrome piece on the front fender is in the vehicle. the rear trunk chrome pieces need to be purchased as well as the lock on the trunk. The last time I drove it .. It drove fine. It is old.. but still turns heads in it's current condition...…..It's not ready to fully drive today though It'll be a great vehicle some day. It just hasn't made it there yet. Hopefully soon. Good Day. Vin8x22c107440
